5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Indie Rock SongJuly 5, 2017

This review is from: Whatever It Takes (MP3 Music)
I am fortunate to have discovered this song Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons after recently hearing this brilliant indie rock song through the Amazon radio station Best of 2017 So Far. Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons is an inspiring song in a similar empowering theme as Believer by Imagine Dragons. After hearing Whatever It Takes, I am now leaning towards getting Imagine Dragons whole Evolve music collection by November or sooner yet I know that topic is something for another post. Nonetheless, Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons is perfect to get if you prefer a song to help strengthen your intent to go after certain goals andor dreams regardless of the length of time because the song has a sunny/gleeful message of persevering of going after targeted goals regardless if it appears the dreams andor goals may appear too big. I know from firsthand experience that I must balance my dreams with what is practical yet hearing this song is timely for me because I have had well-meaning people try to talk me out of even some of my most practical/realistic goals/dreams. I at least intuitively and logically understand that sometimes you must listen to others, even if they might sound harsh about it, if their ideas might provide a door(doors) into a better future than you could imagine on your own. However, that is the key that I have learned the challenging way, the criticism must be shrouded in giving clues to a better way and ideally by the source giving said information who has walked in my shoes. Fortunately, I am learning to wisely tell the difference between the two and this song Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons helps tap into this encouraging source of support in musical form.

4.0 out of 5 stars Multiple Concepts To Like About This KindlebookJuly 5, 2017

First off, I do understand that it is important to see the good in one’s current job as every job has its pros and cons when it comes to pay, working environment, location etc. Additionally, I am blessed to have a job with fair working conditions in terms of how I am treated by the people at my current place of employment. It is just that I am in the process of working on going from a temporary/seasonal employee to a year round employee. As a result, I was hoping to get ideas from this book Love Your Job by Kerry Hannon for financial reasons as the competition is fierce for year round/permanent jobs at my current place of employment. This kindlebook of Love Your Job: The New Rules For Career Happiness by Kerry Hannon contains help career information as it pertains to making the best of one’s current job, volunteering, education opportunities and more. Additionally, Hannon is also generous with the amount of websites she includes at the end of the kindlebook when it comes to volunteer opportunities, education websites, career websites. etc. The main caveat is that this kindlebook is more for people who are fully and 100 percent certain that they plan on being in their current careers for maybe at least 10 years or more regardless of whether they are a temporary, seasonal, and/or a permanent/year round employee. However, Kannon does gives healing advice on various ideas of enlisting the help of a career coach as it pertains to career andor financial advice which is obviously different from reaching out to a therapist for career andor money advice.

This review is from: Morgenthau (Amazon Video)
I admit that it was by unexpected chance that I came across this documentary through Amazon called Morgenthau. This Morgenthau documentary covers information on three generation of men who served in vital positions as it pertained to U.S. government and how it indirectly affected both the people close to them, especially family members(Henry Morgenthau Sr.,Henry Morgenthau, Robert Morgenthau). Some of the historical events are covered as it pertained to their work with the U.S. government (World War II, their work with some of the former U.S. Presidents etc.). Former President Bill Clinton, Sonia Sotomayor, and Al Sharpton are some of the high profile people who also make an appearance in this informative documentary. One of the Morgenthaus is also quoted as why he had to make the difficult decision that he did around the controversial issue pertaining to the death penalty. Obviously, there are much more factual details included in this documentary.

I grew up in Illinois from 1988 until 2000 listening to various types of music genres. However, I have to credit my two older adoptive brothers who listened to rock music for indirectly influencing my interest in various types of alternative rock music, especially of the 90s. They were both teenagers during the 80s and naturally this influenced my curiosity to check out this documentary as this made me wonder about the rock scene that included some of the musicians that I heard them listen to. This documentary of the Decline of Western Civilization: Part II covers the time period of the mid to late 80s and covers both rock bands who went on to achieve great fame and popularity (bands you might have heard of even if you are just a casual listener of rock music). Then there are names of groups who you might not have heard of if it was not for the documentary (to put it nicely) yet you might find yourself secretly rooting for them that maybe they too went on to achieve their own type of career andor money success even if it was outside the Los Angeles California rock scene. Multiple men and women interviewed for this documentary admitted to the wild lifestyle that goes with their pursuit of rock fame. In fair credit, some of the people featured for this documentary did give encouraging advice for pursuing your dreams (and some of them are still very well known to this day). There are musicians who are also very honest it pertains to some of the challenges that they have had to overcome and even honesty from some of them on how they see rock groupies, and much more.

songs for me to keep in mind; for karmic reasons, these songs are only going to be listed with the reviews with my googleplus, tumblr, and wordpress; Thunder by Imagine Dragons, Whatever It Takes by Imagine Dragons,
