Soul Perspectives, March 11, 2013
I felt compelled to check out this book because of my interest in guides containing information involving connecting with the higher self. Healing information on the transforming negative thoughts to more joyful ones and encouragement are some of the nourishing tidbits in this book. "Inner Whispers: Messages From A Spirit Guide" (Volume II) by April Crawford is a good choice for those who like books that include information regarding the higher self.

United Club, March 11, 2013
I admit that I decided to check out "United Destination 2012" by Dash Berlin after viewing it on the Armada music shop website. Previously, I had also seen Dash Berlin featured on Amazon Germany through my personalized music recommendations. There are two cds in this compilation with each containing 14 musical tracks. "Waiting" (W&W Remix) by Dash Berlin featuring Emma Hewitt and "Welcome Home" by Suncatcher are two of my favorite songs on this cd. However, there is something for many people through the other high energy tracks from this collection. "United Destination 2012" by Dash Berlin is a thrilling selection for those who enjoy club-like trance.

Cheery And Fun, March 11, 2013
As noted in a previous review, I found out about Armin Van Buuren's music at a public library in 2009, when I was still living in Orlando, Florida. This initial discovery of Armin Van Buuren's music happened around autumn 2009 (approximately September 2009). I have also previously enjoyed his collections of Universal Religion 5 (reviewed it online back in November 15, 2011), State Of Trance 2011 (reviewed it back in August 19, 2012), and his Universal Religion Chapter 6 compilation (reviewed it on September 23, 2012). He also gives a great live performance. I was fortunate to get a chance to see him in concert back in November 2011. I was so eager to get "A State of Trance 2013" by Armin Van Buuren that I purchased it from Amazon UK on February 2, 2013 thinking that I was going to receive it around February 18th to the 19th. The release date was then pushed up to March 4th and I admit that I felt tempted to cancel my order and purchase from another vender. However, I decided to let it be and just wait. In my humble opinion, the wait was worth it because this cd shows the growth of his creative musical progression. This compilation comes in a two cd set of 16 songs on the first cd and 17 songs on the next. "Waiting For The Night" by Armin Van Buuren feat. Fiora(Beat Service Mix) and "The Expedition" by Armin Van Buuren & Markus Schulz are some of the multiple and catchy tracks from both cds. "A State of Trance 2013" by Armin Van Buuren is an excellent choice for those who like trance music with playful and amusing elements.

Transformation To Oz, March 11, 2013
"Oz The Great And Powerful" involves a con-man named Oscar Diggs, who later becomes the Wizard of Oz (shrewdly played by James Franco). Oscar Diggs ends up in a scenic world after promising to do great things in his life, if allowed to live. He ends up meeting three women who are all witches: The Wicked Witch of The West, The Wicked Witch Of The East, and Glinda The Good Witch. However two of them (brilliantly played by Mila Kunis and Rachel Weisz) are powerful but evil. The third witch, Glinda The Good (depicted in a fascinating way by Michele Williams), also projects magical energy but wields her talents for good. I liked the heartfelt love story that developed between Glinda The Good Witch and Oscar Diggs (who becomes the Wizard Of Oz). Zach Braff also makes a cameo in the film as Finley, a hardworking assistant to Oscar Diggs. "Oz The Great And Powerful" is the type of fantasy film to watch for those who like to see metaphorical movies on how destiny can sometimes collide with unexpected life tests.

Jack The Giant Role Player, March 11, 2013
"Jack The Giant Slayer" involves the story of a well- meaning but over-protective man named King Brahmwell(valiantly played by Ian McShane) who seems more concerned about his daughter Isabelle(strongly played by Eleanor Tomlinson) getting married than allowing her to explore the world around her. Stanley Tucci plays a discreetly evil assistant to the king, but does a good job of playing it convincingly. Ewan McGregor also projects a compelling performance in playing the protector of both the King Brahmwell and Princess Isabelle. Nicholas Hoult plays an innocent and energetic portrayal of Jack. The character of Jack unintentionally changes the life of himself and those around him when he obtains ownership of some magic beans. "Jack The Giant Slayer" is the type of movie to watch for those who are open to the message of how even just one person can drastically shape events for themselves and those around them.

Seeking People, March 11, 2013
"Desperate Seeking Susan" centers around a wife named Roberta Glass(strongly played by Rosanna Arquette) who appears to want to stir things up in her life and find a woman that piques her curiosity (craftfully played by Madonna). It was funny watching the crazy escapades that Roberta finds herself in before finding Susan. The way that Roberta ends up meeting Dez (played in a lighthearted way by Aidan Quinn) is comical as well. I do feel that Madonna, Rosanna Arquette and Aidan Quinn did phenomenal jobs in projecting their roles. However, my only complaint, is the way that Roberta Glass treats her husband Gary Glass (dramatically played by Mark Blum) towards the end of the movie. Yes, I understand that it is only entertainment, but I felt that the movie could have been made stronger by adding a happier ending for Gary Glass as well. Aside from that caveat, "Desperately Seeking Susan" is a classic and carefree film to watch that is laced with comedic elements.

All Angels Musical Paradise, March 6, 2013
"Into Paradise" by All Angels combines smooth classical music elements with carefully balanced themes of human emotion. "In Paradisum" and a suitable remake of "The Scientist" are two of the All Angels songs that resonated with my soul. I also enjoy Coldplay's brilliant version of "The Scientist." It is just that something about the All Angels version that gave it a uniquely classical music vibe. "Into Paradise" by All Angels is good for those who are open to listening to good classical remakes with quality vocals.

Musical Zest For Life, March 6, 2013
As with many others, I first became interested in Havana Brown after catching her through an MTV Hits video displaying her excellent music collaboration with Pitbull in "We Run The Night". This five song sampler of "We Run The Night", "You'll Be Mine", "One Way Trip", "Spread A Little Love", and "Banana" is both musically adventurous and bold. All of the songs are good but "One Way Trip" for some reason really pulled my attention because of the daring lyrics and music. There are musical remnants of "Children" by Robert Miles in "One Way Trip" but Havana Brown makes the song uniquely her own with strong vocals and a compelling spin on being slightly aggressive. "When The Lights Go Out" is best for those who like music tunes blended with ambient pop, dance, and electronic elements.

Quirky Love Song, March 6, 2013
I admit that I found out about this catchy song after viewing a funny music video on "I Could Be The One" on one of the MTV music channels. The comical video appears to turn the meaning of the song into something else. My best guess is that it appears to be about the potential for blissful romance. Regardless of the meaning, "I Could Be The One" (Nicktim Radio Edit) by Avicii&Nicky Romero is good for those who like high-energetic songs splashed with dance and electronic music elements.

Trance Party Continuum, March 6, 2013
I first became familiar with the Trance Party series back in 2006. I was stationed in Florida through the military and spotted Trance Party 6 at a Navy Exchange store and later reviewed this compilation on July 1, 2008. This Trance party series piqued my interest because of the music being similar to the dance music genre. I have been interested in dance music since I was around 11 years old and was lucky enough to hear increased variances of even more dance, trance, and electronic music during the early 2000's when I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. Trance Party Volume Two contains a strong selection of dance and trance music artists. "Heaven" by DJ Sammy & Yanou, "Resurrection" by PPK,"I See Right Through To You" by DJ Encore featuring Engelina, "In My Dreams" by Noemi, "Will I" by Ian Van Dahl, and "Forever" by Dee Dee are some of the various fun hits available on Trance Party Volume Two. I admit that I am the most familiar with "I See Right Through To You" by DJ Encore featuring Engelina. This is because I purchased the cd "Intuition" by DJ Encore and Engelina back in June 2007 and reviewed it on July 5, 2008. "Trance Party Volume Two" (Mixed by The Happy Boys) is best for those who like electronic, dance, and/or trance compilations by various artists.

Joyfully Say, March 6, 2013
I was curious to check out "Wanna Say" because I had previously liked and reviewed "Put Your Graffiti On Me" back in May 1, 2012. I have to say that "Wanna Say" is an even better song because it imbues a happy song with being carefree and in love. She even projects an uplifting and carefree persona in the music video. "Wanna Say" by Kat Graham is good for those who like cheerful dance/pop tunes.

Musical Vintage And Classic, March 6, 2013
I first became interested in La Bouche as a teenager. I was living in Illinois at this time and frequently heard multiple songs by La Bouche on the dance radio station B96. I was also able to hear their greatest hits collection from a former co-worker of a job that I worked at in Virginia. Obviously, I am familiar with the popular "Be My Lover" song. "Sweet Dreams" and "You Won't Forget Me" are two of the songs that I like the most from this cd. "La Bouche Greatest Hits" is good for those who like 90's dance music.

Moving Chillout, March 6, 2013
I found out about "Music For Moving Images Vol. 4 through itunes. I was doing a search and download for "Fortune Soul" by Blackmill and noticed that "Music For Moving Images" Vol. 4 was also recommended for those who enjoy "Fortune Soul". I took a chance with the itunes recommendation because I had heard and enjoyed "Let It Be" by Blackmill through the online Pandora radio network. I even reviewed Blackmill's Miracle album on September 20, 2012. "Music For Moving Images" Vol. 4 has many of the same lounge like and relaxing vibes of Blackmill's "Fortune Soul". The songs on this album are by various artists and this collection is more likely to be enjoyed each more after successive listens. Obviously, "Fortune Soul" is my favorite song from this collection but I also enjoyed "Counting What If's" (Thinnen Remix)(feat. Soundmouse) by boyChild and "Breathe" by Cillo. "Music For Moving Images, Vol. 4" is best for those who like ambient chillout music.

Sage Centenarians, March 1, 2013
I was curious to check out “Extra-ordinary Centenarians In America:Their Secrets To Living A Long Vibrant Life” by Gwen Weiss Numeroff due to my own dream to live a healthy and joyful life until at least 2078. The only reason why I say dream is because I am humbly aware that a human goal of what desired age to reach may sometimes be different from what is spiritually intended. I really enjoyed that the author interviewed men and women from various walks of life and generously shared their advice. There was so much exquisite information given on what to do to reach the goal that it is hard for me to list what were the best tips. However, the Irving Kahn,Ebby Halliday, and Loretta Hodges interviews were the ones that reminded me to be thankful for what I have along my journey and goal to live a long life. Irving Kahn mentioned how important it is to keep staying engaged and curious in life. Ebby Halliday emphasized the importance of avoiding permanent retirement. Loretta Hodges discussed being satisfied with the blessings that one already has and sharing. There are also many other heartfelt and helpful interviews available in this book. “Extraordinary Centenarians In America” by Gwen Weiss Numeroff is best for those who want information on what to do to fulfill goals of living longer and/or more rewarding lives.

2013 Music Merriment, March 1, 2013
I was lucky to initially find out about the Brit Awards cd series in the early 2000’s. I was still stationed in Yokosuka, Japan through the military from September 2000 until October 2003 and purchased the Brit Awards 2000 cd set at one of the port stops of the ship I was stationed on. Additionally, there were music stores in Japan that also carried the Brit Awards cd collections (along with several other European import cds). Obtaining the Brit Awards 2013 three cd set was a natural choice for me, due to my high interest in this cd series . This is because I own other multiple Brit Awards cds (including the 2010, 2011, and 2012 Brit Award sets). The Brit Awards 2013 is even better than the great collection from last year. The following is a sampler of the multiple hits in the Brit Awards 2013 set (full track listings available on Amazon UK, Amazon Germany, and Amazon Canada): Emeli Sande-Next To Me, Bruno Mars-Locked Out of Heaven, Rita Ora feat. Tinie Tempah-R.I.P., Coldplay &Rihanna-Princess of China, Robbie Williams-Candy, Neyo-Let Me Love You Until You Learn To Love Yourself, The Script feat. William-Hall of Fame, Swedish House Mafia-Don’t You Worry Child, William feat. Eva Simmons-This Is Love, Mumford & Sons-I Will Wait, Florence +The Machine-Spectrum, Madonna-Girl Gone Wild, Labrinth feat. Emeli Sande-Beneath Your Beautiful, Train-Drive By There are many more fun songs available on this 3 cd set and “Brit Awards 2013” is an excellent choice for those who enjoy eclectic music compilations by various artists.

Jovial Time, March 1, 2013
I understand that this is a kid's cartoon, but the Adventure Time series is a guilty pleasure of mine because many of the episodes convey an adventuresome and happy vibe. This show provides a refreshing change of positive programming. I own some of the other Adventure Time collections and preferred to check out "Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake" out of curiosity on how many Fiona themed episodes are included in the dvd. The good thing about this dvd is that there are sixteen quality episodes compiled along with the special feature of "Little Did You Know." My only issue with this dvd is that there was only one "Fionna and Cake" themed episode instead of at least 2-4 out of the 16 selected episodes. Additionally, this dvd is more for those who really enjoy this cartoon series due to the fact that it is not a full season collection dvd. Aside from these caveats, "Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake" is a great selection for those who like to watch cheerful shows.

Far From Regular But A Humorous Show, March 1, 2013
Despite the title, The "Regular Show: The Best Dvd In The World" does contain some humorous episodes. There is a special feature of employee profiles to go along with the sixteen episodes. The one unique feature about this show is that the characters are depicted going about their daily activities and then are unexpectedly transported into a parallel universe. The "Cool Bikes" episode was one of the multiple episodes where the characters were going about their daily routine of work and then suddenly pulled into another dimension to explain their actions. "The Regular Show: The Best Dvd In The World" is great for those who like comedic cartoons.

Life Photography Shots Of Madonna, February 16, 2013
"Madonna" by Daryl Easlea & Eddi Fiegel is a quirky book that covers among the following: Page 15: The Meaning Behind Lucky Star Page 73: How Madonna's church upbringing indirectly shaped her music Pages 87-93: The events surrounding the release of Madonna's "Erotica" album and media spotlight around her infamous and controversially named book. Page 199: The circumstances around what she had went through in order to adopt Mercy. Of course, there is much more in this book (including quality Madonna photos) and "Madonna" by Daryl Easlea & Eddi Fiegel is best for those who are Madonna fans and/or like to collect books around certain musicians.

Father And Son Die Hard Journey, February 16, 2013
My husband really wanted to see "A Good Day To Die Hard' and I agreed to it for Valentine's Day. He appeared to like the action scenes and the theme of having Bruce Willis team up with his son while strengthening the father and son bond. I actually agree with this, but there was one caveat that I did not agree with in the film. The bad guy and his daughter were also paired together to fight the protagonists. The actor and actress did their job well in the villain parts, but I feel that creating a bad guy with his son would have gave the movie a less misogynistic spin. Other than the caveat, "A Good Day To Die Hard" is a decent action film.

Emeli Sande's Version, February 16, 2013
I originally found out about Emeli Sande around late 2011/early 2012 through an online radio link from one of the local radio stations (97.1 washfm). "Our Version Of Events" by Emeli Sande contains a blend of pleasant and heartwarming songs that evoke strong emotions within the soul. "Heaven", "My Kind Of Love", and "Mountains" were three of the songs that struck deep emotional cords with me. I also enjoyed "Next To Me" because it reminded me of the unconditional love that my husband has for me. "Our Version Of Events" by Emeli Sande is great for those who like warm love song collections.

Tina Turner showcase, February 16, 2013
I purchased "All The Best" by Tina Turner back in January 2010 because of being impressed and curious about the music behind her story. I thought it was inspiring that she overcame so much to experience a career rebirth and courageously start over in a new place simultaneously. "Private Dancer", "We Don't Need Another Hero", and `Proud Mary" are some of the multiple hits available in this collection. Janet Jackson classics, February 16, 2013
"Janet Jackson Number Ones" is a greatest hits set that covers 16 different hits on her first cd and 18 songs on her second cd. Many of the songs on both cds are musically delightful, but the following songs are among my favorites from this compilation due to the musical experimentation: "Escapade","Black Cat", "If", and "Runaway". Universal Smash Tunes, February 16, 2013
I first discovered the "Universal Smash Hits 2" cd back in 2003 when I was stationed in Yokosuka, Japan. I spotted this compilation at one of the base navy exchanges and felt guided to check out the cd due to the song variety. "Hot In Here" by Nelly, "No Letting Go" by Wayne Wonder,"Never Leave You (UH OOOH)" by Lumidee, "Suga Suga" by Baby Bash, "Don't Say Goodbye" by Paulina Rubio, "When I'M Gone" by 3 Doors Down, and "Rapture" by IIO are some of the multiple quirky songs on this cd. The only caveat to this cd is that there is a limited variety of music genres available on this cd. For this reason, "Universal Smash Hits 2" is more for those who are fine with contemporary cds from mostly the pop and R&B genres (due to only four of the 18 songs being from other music genres).

Essence Beauty 101, February 10, 2013
"Essence Beauty Basics & Beyond" by Patricia Hinds is a well -balanced book that features African American women of different complexions and hair textures. I had to get this book because beauty information for my physical features can sometimes be tricky to come by. My own physical features and hair texture are due to an amalgam of the following ancestries: Native American from my maternal grandmother's side (she is a Menominee Indian woman from Wisconsin), Puerto Rican from both my maternal and paternal grandfathers, and African American from my paternal grandmother's side (she was a Black American woman originally from Birmingham, Alabama). This book contains a diverse set of information both for women who prefer to continue relaxing their hair and those that choose to keep it natural. This information is invaluable to me because I was a natural from 2003-2011. I then decided to straighten it in April 2012, but I want to give myself some time before I straighten it again (in order to ensure that I am doing it for the right reasons). I admit that I am still a novice when it comes to makeup, and this book also contains some great makeup information. I'm blessed that my husband accepts me with both my natural hair and make-up free, but I'm glad that "Essence Beauty Basics&Beyond" offers a range of makeup and hair styling options. The following is some of the helpful information available in the book: Pages 16-17: A "Hair Hookup" guide depending on various hair textures. Page 115: Information on the different blushes to use depending on skin complexion. Pages 88-91: How to tell your skin type and the different types of nutrients available for healthier skin. There is much more quality information in "Essence Beauty Basics & Beyond" by Patricia Hinds.

Luxury Journey, February 10, 2013
My passion for travel is one of the reasons that led me to check out Luxury Travel Advisor magazine. I had initially heard of this magazine through the dvd "Untold Wealth:The Rise of the Rich". Technically, it is geared towards a travel agent who services wealthy clients. However, it is comparable to some of the other travel magazines because of the inclusion on cruise travel information and exciting travel destinations. My only caveat with "Luxury Travel Advisor" is that the magazine at times contains less travel articles and pages than some of the other cheaper travel magazines: "Conde Naste Traveler" and/or "Travel& Lesisure". For this reason, "Luxury Travel Advisor" is more for those who truly enjoy travel magazines and have a passion for traveling.

Love Alchemy, February 5, 2013
I acknowledge that "The Lovespell Secret: A 30 Day Heaven-Sent Program To Create More Love In Your Life" by I.J. Weinstock is a candid and heart-centered attempt to increase the essence of love in the world. I even get a positive feeling that he created this book from love. However, my main caveat with this book was that it was formatted more to a workbook approach with metaphorical sprinklings on helping love to grow in one's life. I can see that his intent was good, but I admit that I bought this book thinking that there would be just as much writing similar to the writings of his late wife Joy Mitchell Lisker in "Love Ever After." The information is condensed in 95 pages, but I believe that it can actually be shortened into around 55 pages or less (due to this guide being part workbook). For this reason, "The Love Spell Secret: A 30 Day Heaven Sent Program To Create More Love In Your Life" by I.J. Weinstock is more for those who are fine with books containing hints of love enhancing tips with a predominant workbook format.

"Heaven" by Depeche Mode appears to be a song that appears to communicate how personal beliefs can be very subjective (especially in regards to how one views life). "Heaven" does appear to be slightly on the more serious side, but it also conveys vulnerable and genuine emotion. I enjoyed the multiple versions available on the remixes and liked the Owlle remix of "Heaven" the most. "Heaven" by Depeche Mode is good for those who like songs mixed with alternative rock and electronic elements that express unfiltered emotion.

Million Dollar Fun, February 3, 2013
"Million Dollar Girl" by Trina, Keri Hilson, and Diddy is a fun music video touching on living the lavish side of life. The lyrics are catchy and all three of the singers appear to be having a good time in the music video for the song. It is also a versatile song because I recently heard it in a slightly different way on the "Catwalk Megahits 2012" collection. "Million Dollar Girl" by Trina featuring Keri Hilson and Diddy is a good musical track for those who like songs with dance, pop, and hip-hop elements.

Early 90's House/Trance?, February 3, 2013
"Trance Europe" is a collection of music that is billed to represent electronic music. The song "Energy 2" by Alternative Energy is an ok song. However, I was hoping for more experimentation with the songs and lyrics. As a result, this cd would only be for those who may be looking for other qualities besides experimentation.

Patriarch Viewpoint, January 28, 2013
"A Gift To My Children" by Jim Rogers provides some quality insight from the author through the perspective of tailoring it to his daughters. There is helpful information such as refusing to let age stop a person from going after their goals, living life with at least one main dream in mind, and striving to work towards personal dreams regardless of the external circumstances that may emerge. "A Gift To My Children" by Jim Rogers is a quick read and is good for those who enjoy motivational tidbits.

Guide to Enlightenment, January 28, 2013
"Ascension" by Betsy-Morgan Coffman is a book that covers ideas on attaining spiritual transformation. Positive benefits to cultivating a spiritual life, listening to uplifting music, an exercise for healing consciousness, and how to integrate the new energies are among the multiple nurturing concepts that are available in this guide. "Ascension" is best for those who prefer a book containing ideas towards those who have goals involving the achievement of spiritual enlightenment.
