This review is from: Writer with a Day Job: Inspiration & Exercises to Help You Craft a Writing Life Alongside Your Career (Paperback)
I found this book Writer with a Day Job: Inspiration & Exercises to Help You Craft a Writing Life Alongside Your Career by Aine Greaney to be a promising book. Some of the aspiration-themed tidbits in this book; under the five ways to nurture and protect your writing a vital emphasis is included to truly believe that you deserve to write. She also touches on life circumstances that could test a person’s ability to truly believe that they deserve to write on page 21 (which was healing to me as seeing it is definitely the right place at the right time of scenario for my situation). Greaney also touches on journal writing, writing on your meal break at work, different writing groups including the mention of online writing groups (for people who may find an online writing group easier for their life situation), some situations where using a penname andor pseudonym is helpful (especially if what you’re writing is of the very controversial andor taboo variety), changing the time of the day andor gender in your writing, and much more.

This review is from: Upstairs at the White House: My Life with the First Ladies (Kindle Edition)
I am fortunate to have purchased this Amazon kindlebook of Upstairs at the White House: My Life with the First Ladies by J.B. West and Mary Lynn Kotz on Friday April 21, 2017 for just $1.99. Some of the following details in this kindlebook; some of the job responsibilities of what the author discusses includes the preparation and justification of budget estimates, covering administrative and operative expenses, remodeling of the Executive mansion, serving as a receptionist at the white house, oversees the cleanliness of 132 rooms, and much to my surprise the author mentioned not giving any interviews during the time of him managing the White House. J.B. West worked inside the White House for over 25 years and has met some of the following well-known women; Eleanoor Roosevelt, Bess Truman, Mamie Eisenhower, Jacqueline Kennedy, Lady Bird Johnson, and Pat Nixon and much more information.

This review is from: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Plus Bonus Features) (Amazon Video)
As mentioned previously, in some of my online writings related to the Guardians of the Galaxy film and music, my husband was the one who indirectly influenced me to watch the 2014 film and also the latest 2017 film. Each film is enjoyable to watch in its own way and the 2017 film of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (Plus Bonus features) touches on Peter Quill/the Star Lord (Chris Pratt) basking in the glory of some of his accomplishments and eventually meeting his father named Ego (Kurt Russell). The character of Mantis (Pom Klementieff) is introduced in this film as somewhat of a pet to Ego who eventually bonds with the other guardians. Peter Quill/the Star Lord is shown also accompanied by friends who have been with him some time such as Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax the Destroyer (Dave Bautista), and Rocket (Bradley Cooper). They are all helping to raise baby Groot (Vin Diesel) and also meet up with a man (Michael Rooker)who was an unofficial adoptive father of Peter Quill/the Star Lord. Of course, there are many more featured actors/actresses in this film and what gives this science fiction fantasy film a sense of humanity is how it touches on friends and family. This was especially the case when the dynamics between Gamora and her sister Nebula (Karen Gillan). Both Zoe Saldana and Karen Gillan creatively give their best in their dynamics of how they interact as sisters. However,I like how the writers of this film also tell Nebula’s side of the story in this film that explain her behavior in how she acts despite the fact that it is evident which sister is considered more likable/well-loved. I say this because both in real-life and sometimes even in other movies and stories involving family members, it is human nature to only share/listen/tell the side of the story of the more well-loved/golden sheep type of family member while sometimes not taking into account the side of the story of the person who deep down knows and accepts where they stand socially but has justified reasons for being the way they are towards other family members that may not always be understood by some people. Last, but not least, an eclectic and unique mix of music is included in the film which helps give a viewer the idea on how certain plot sequences tie into the outcomes (regardless of whether you consider yourself a writer).

This review is from: 2008 Hits (MP3 Music)
This Amazon playlist of 2008 Hits takes me back to some positive memories. I admit from sometime around the final week of February 2008 through the rest of 2008 that I was still in the military, living in Norfolk Virginia with my husband, and bringing in at least over three thousand a month after taxes while planning where I was going to live. I am regret-free when it comes to when I voluntarily left the military and I’m regret-free about it because it has afforded my husband and I chances to live in places that are highly sought after (my husband and I have enjoyed living in the Washington D.C. area). However, I intend to use 2008 Hits music playlist as a writer for some aspects of what I want to include in my storytelling.

This review is from: Best of Madonna (MP3 Music)
This Amazon playlist of the Best of Madonna is perfect to listen to whether you are a Madonna fan or even if you have only heard a few of her songs. One of the reasons a wide mix of Madonna’s songs and representing the longevity of her music career is covered such as; Who’s That Girl (80s), Dress You Up (80s),Like A Prayer(80s),Crazy For You (80s), Vogue (90s), Beautiful Stranger (90s), Justify My Love (90s), Music (2000s), Die Another Day (2000s) etc. The only caveat is that a Madonna fan could easily recognize other songs that could have also easily made it on the Best of Madonna playlist (Angel from the 80s), Burnin Up (80s),Deeper from the 90s, Fever from the 90s,Erotica (from the 90s), This Use To Be My Playground (90s song from A League of Their Own movie), More song (from the 90s),some brilliant tunes that are good to listen to yet might not have been featured on mainstream radio; Like it Or Not (2000s), Jump (2000s), Love Profusion (2000s), Heartbeat (2000s), Give it 2 Me (from the 2000sfeat. Pharrell Williams), Masterpiece (2000s), Iconic (2000s feat. Mike Tyson, Chance the rapper), Joan of Arc (2000s) and much more Madonna songs. Although, I understand that other Madonna fans are going to have a different list of songs that could have also made in on the Best of Madonna playlist.
