Afterlife Interviews, April 5, 2014
Dearly Departed, directed by Darryl Anka is an interesting type of fiction film based on reports of near death experiences. The movie is taken through a vantage point of a person who is interviewing spirits who have already crossed over. The strange part is that the viewer is left wondering how this interviewer was able to speak with these souls in the afterlife (channeling maybe?). Either way, the film touches on how personal beliefs and a person’s spiritual energy indirectly impact their next life.

Finn and Jake’s Journeys, April 5, 2014
I confess that I felt drawn to obtaining Adventure Time Season 3 after it was advertised at my job. I went ahead and purchased it through the Walmart’s Site to Store feature and eventually picked it up the dvd after work. This was also partially due to the fact that my husband and I have been watching this cartoon since 2011 (yes, I know that we are both adults). Adventure Time Season 3 has 26 episodes and some bonus commentaries. For instance, there is an interview of the creator of this series discussing his reasons for creating the cartoon in conjunction with many of those who comprise his viewing audience (parents, children, college students, many adults etc.). The 26 episodes are based on the ones created around 2011. There are multiple episodes that will appeal to various people. For example, my husband enjoyed one of the Fiona and Cake episodes and mentioned that it would be interesting if more episodes and/or a spinoff season were created around Fiona and her cat. Adventure Time Season 3 is also safe for all ages.

Continuing Saga of Captain America and Co., April 5, 2014
Captain America: The Winter Soldier deals with the character of Steve Rogers navigating his new life in Washington D.C. along with his fellow co-workers. It appears that both Captain America and his “work peers” become targets due to knowing too much about the affiliations of the agency that they are based at. Chris Evans, Samuel Jackson, Scarlett Johannsson, Robert Redford, and Anthony Mackie star in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

Soap Opera Love, April 5, 2014
That’s All by Genesis is both a classic and compelling type of song that appears to be about a man who is in love with someone despite the soap opera challenges that occur in their relationship. This is a great song to purchase if you enjoy pop music and/or songs by Phil Collins (due to That’s All containing his vocals).

Unseen Impact, April 5, 2014
Invisible Touch by Genesis is a heartfelt tune about a man who has strong feelings for a woman who can sometimes be hard on his heart. He sings about the invisible hold that she has over him even with the knowledge that loving her turns his life upside down. Invisible Touch by Phil Collins is good to get if you like 80’s pop/soft rock music and/or tunes containing Phil Collins vocals.

Impact of a Romantic Crush, April 5, 2014
Mmm Yeah by Austin Mahone (feat. Pitbull) caught my attention after I heard it on the radio. This song appears to be about having a romantic crush and/or infatuation on somebody after first spotting them in public. Mmm Yeah by Austin Mahone (feat. Pitbull) is a catchy pop/dance song and is also available for viewing online (for those still undecided about getting the song).

Leaving A Complicated Impact, April 5, 2014
The music and lyrics of Beautiful Danger by Kirsty Hawkshaw drew me in after I heard this song on Pandora radio (the chillout music section). In a strange way, this song almost appears to be related to Invisible Touch because the singer is speaking of having feelings for someone that she is not supposed to. She also sings about this person touching her soul on a metaphorical level. Beautiful Danger by Kirsty Hawkshaw is great to listen to if you like electronica/chillout music.

Celestial Journeys, April 5, 2014
Adventures In Afterlife by William Bulham is a fiction book told through a spiritual slant and touches on the journey of Frank in the spirit realm. At first, Frank journeys to a world upon death that mirrors his beliefs and what he was taught (through his religion). He eventually discovers that the afterlife is actually subject to what a man or woman personally believes and that there are various worlds in the non-physical realm as there are souls. He also discovers that a soul can progress in the afterlife, but that they sometimes have to release and be aware that their human identity is not actually who they were. Frank also undergoes instruction that pertains to the theme of becoming a master at reality creation in relation to spiritual enlightenment. I also enjoyed how the author generously shares some of the processes for attaining personal goals and changes in life. There is so much more in this book that I listed and is perfect for those who have an open mind and are truth seekers. I plan to keep coming back to this book more often because of the information that the author generously shares with the tie in to spiritual enlightenment and reality creation.

A Medium’s Perspective on Afterlife Communications, April 5, 2014
Please know that my interest in the afterlife has little to do with my own mortality. I am actually in good health and prefer to live to be at least 85-110 years old. I say prefer because I am humbly aware that when I die may be different from the choice of my human egoic perspective. This book drew my attention because my soul hungers to know various truths in life. Choices in The Afterlife by Gretchen Vogel touches on the tenet that the afterlife that a person experiences is influenced by their current and past lifetimes. She shares some of the work that she has done for those still living and want to know how their loved ones are doing. However, my one caveat with this book is that she implies that the soul is pretty much on their own when crossing over (aside from being greeted by friends or family members). She concludes that one is probably not greeted by their spiritual helpers because her communications with other spirits do not suggest such a reality. I understand that this could be true and that a connection to the higher self is extremely vital. However, other texts that I have been exposed to suggest different realities of being greeted by spirit guides, angels, and other beings in relation to what a man or woman believed on earth. The point that I am making is that I just wish that she would have more strongly and frequently emphasized that what she experiences is only a subjective reality based on what she sees. In her defense, she did lightly touch on the fact that what she saw is not absolute truth. It is just that this emphasis that what she saw was not absolute truth could have been written more frequently in the book. Aside from this caveat, Choices in the Afterlife is told through a heartfelt manner.

Goo Goo Dolls Classics, April 5, 2014
Around 2-3 months ago,I spotted the Greatest Hits Vol. 1 by the Goo Goo Dolls at my Walmart job and purchased it due to it being just five dollars. This collection contains many of the songs that I am familiar with from my high school years (yes, I am showing my age). Slide is probably my favorite song from this collection. However, there is a song to enjoy for many people who like listening to 90’s alternative rock.

Whitney Houston’s Musical Legacy, April 5, 2014
Ultimate Collection by Whitney Houston showcases many of the classics from the late singer’s career. I remember hearing many of these songs on the radio and seeing some of the music videos on television (her music was played a lot on the radio and television during the 90’s). There are 18 songs on this collection (I personally enjoy So Emotional and I’m Every Woman the most from this collection). Ultimate Collection by Whitney Houston is great for those who are open to listening to late 80’s, 90’s, and early 2000’s pop music.

Spring 2014 Kylie Minogue, April 5, 2014
At first, I was undecided on whether to purchase Kiss Me Once by Kylie Minogue due to the review I read in one of the local newspapers that I received and comparing it with another reviewer of a music website where I am a subscriber to their newsletter. I decided to go with my own intuition to obtain Kiss Me Once due to positive memories of hearing her music on my honeymoon back in early 2004. In my humble opinion, getting Kiss Me Once by Kylie Minogue was very much worth it because of the unique and enjoyable tracks that are reminiscent of not only my honeymoon but a fun and carefree life cycle that I had in the early 2000’s. There are many good songs on this collection. However, I enjoy tracks 4, 5, 10, 3, and 9 the most due to getting a sense of her creative and strong spirit shining the most through these tracks. The dvd portion of this edition also enhances this collection. Overall, Kiss Me One by Kylie Minogue is great to get if you are familiar with any of her previous works and/or enjoy dance/electronica music.

Havana Brown’s Music Symbol of Strength In Life, April 5, 2014
Warrior by Havana Brown drew me in after hearing it on the Pandora radio station because of the stance on persistence and staying emotionally strong even in the face of public gossip. In a fun way, Havana Brown sings about emerging as a warrior and champion in her own way and going after what she wants in life (personal dreams)regardless of what situations emerge. Warrior by Havana Brown is great to get if you enjoy triumph songs with a dance/club slant.

Dreams And Real Life Collide, March 5, 2014
The Wind Rises follows the story of an open-hearted airplane designer named Jiro who is also grappling with the realities of the world outside of his employment. He also falls in love with a female that he met in his younger years. Last, but not least, Jiro is frequently shown interacting with one of the famous airplane designers who first inspired him (sometimes through dreams). The Wind Rises is great for those who enjoy watching anime movies that contain elements of both love stories and adventure.

Life Journeys Of Two Princesses, March 5, 2014
I confess that I rented “The Princess Twins of Legendale” after spotting the movie photo image via a Redbox rental machine at my Walmart job (during a scheduled lunch break). The Princess Twins of Legendale follow two sisters born into royal nobility and symbolize the power of day and night in their kingdom. They are born to a king and queen who dearly love each other, but end up being confronted by a woman (from the king’s past). This woman is a ruler in the night kingdom and wants revenge due to the king choosing the another to marry over her. This film is good for those who enjoy animated films similar to the Frozen film. The Princess Twins of Legendale list Kara DioGuardi for some of the music credits and also contain these bonuses: Bonus Webisodes of Bratzilla Academy (Glam Gets Wicked) cartoons that are divided into multiple cartoons with these titles: Furry Frenzy, Double Trouble, In The Big Screen, and Midnight Beach. The Special features include movie trailer advertisements for the following children’s films: Lalaloopsy: A Sew Magical Tale and CareBears: A BellyBadge for Wonderheart.

Love Themed ClubTunes, March 5, 2014
I admit that I toyed with the idea to check out Pharrell Williams "Girl" cd after hearing and enjoying the "Happy " song. I also admit that used my Walmart employee discount towards the purchase of Pharrell Willaims "Girl" cd. The 10 songs on this version are invigorating musical tracks. Currently, I am enjoying Happy,Hunter, Gush, Gust of Wind, and Lost Queen the most from "Girl". However, there are also other catchy tunes on "Girl" such as the song features with Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, and the compelling beginning of Marilyn Monroe. "Girl" is great to get for those who are open to listening to music trakcs that have hints of R&B, club music, and electronica beats.

Songs of Endearment, March 5, 2014
As with many other people, the song “Story of My Life” grew on me after I heard it countless times on the radio. Fortunately, I was pleasant surprised to hear other tunes that I would like on this cd even more such as Strong, Midnight Memories, You & I, and Happily. I am previously familiar with their sound after hearing their track “Beautiful” from the 2012 Brit Awards compilation. Kenji unintentionally ends up embarking on a life adventure that is definitely different from what he planned. The “adventure” is directly related to the computer Oz land.

Lana Del Rey’s Music Emotions, March 5, 2014
“Once Upon A Dream” by Lana Del Rey is a musically rich ballad that appears to be about someone who the singer once loved and who left an impact on her. “Once Upon A Dream” showcases the versatility of her voice. I am familiar with her music from being able to enjoy her “Paradise” collection. However, those new to Lana Del Rey’s music can listen to samples from her website, youtube, and other celebrity websites. For instance, I meekly confess that I had a chance to hear one of her music samples of the song “Behind Closed Doors” after googling her name (to search for her music) and noticed the song feature (for Behind Closed Doors) on the Perez Hilton website. “Once Upon A Dream” by Lana Del Rey is great for those who like vintage and/or synth pop and/or songs that bravely convey the various emotions of relationships.

Potential 26th Century Reality, March 5, 2014
Letters From 500 by Robert Lee Potter contains some controversial information that my elicit strong emotions from others. The reason being: Letters From 500 depicts a future scenario of what could happen during a more peaceful period for earth civilizations (around the 2500s, the 26th century). However, this reality would still be different from what others may see happening: Pages 45-47: Boundaries dissolve between nations and a greater number of men and women are living in communities that are nature-based. Cities are going to still exist, but more for museum like purposes. The nature based communities are going to be teeming with great diversity due to groups of people living together more due to shared destiny. Page 57: War, hunger, and poverty no longer exist and there is greater harmony between countries on an international scale. Page 118- Imagination plays an even bigger part in this future time period with a greater number of the souls of many men and women being able to create “worlds within worlds.” Pages 146-147- I was surprised to see this in print (due to being a married woman myself). However, apparently the construct of marriage is going to be completely different from what exists during this century. The controversial slant: polyamory becomes common during this time period. Pages 171-185- The way travel can done to other countries during this time period definitely reads out of a science fiction film. The ease is compared to fitting together a puzzle piece and a doorway.

Atkinson plays a leader of the British Army during the first World War and is frequently monitored by his military boss General Melchett (played by Stephen Fry) while also tasked to give orders to men in his charge such as Lieutenant George(played by Hugh Laurie). I confess that I found out about this series thanks to my amazing husband(who likes to find stuff to help me take life less seriously and brighten my spirits). Popular Music Played From Summer 2013 to Recently, February 20, 2014

A Soul’s Journey Towards Even Greater Spiritual Growth, February 20, 2014
I confess that I found out about Astral City: A Spiritual Journey on Amazon Canada and had a chance to watch it on Hulu. Astral City: A Spiritual Journey is based on a 1944 book titled Nosso Lar by the late Brazilian author Chico Xavier. I have already watched it twice and intend to eventually purchase the dvd. One of the reasons being is because the film beautifully depicts how a spirit can still grow and change for the positive in the spirit realm. I also like how the narrator (who also plays one of the lead parts in the film) pours his heart in playing a soul who candidly describes both the good and challenging aspects of returning to the true spiritual home. The characters speak in what I am guessing to be the Portuguese language, but there are English subtitles included in the movie. This movie has definitely piqued my interest in eventually checking out one of the books by Chico Xavier (sometime within the next year). Astral City: A Spiritual Journey is best for those who like watching movies set in benevolent spirit realms. More information about the movie can be accessed from Bob Olson’s AfterlifeTVdotcom website (under the November 29, 2011 article of Does Life Continue After Death).

A Man’s End of Earth Life Trial, February 20, 2014
I must give credit where it is due. I actually found out about the Defending Your Life movie after viewing an Internet Movie database comment for the Astral City: A Spiritual Journey movie. I rented it through one of my amazon accounts for $1.99, but plan to eventually purchase the dvd. The movie centers around a Los Angeles advertising executive who dies and goes to a heaven that includes some of the best earth inspired amenities (such as top hotel service, cooked restaurant meals, and recreation such as golfing). He has only a short time to enjoy this unexpected nirvana due to the fact that he has to defend himself on why he is ready to move on to the next heavenly realm instead of being forced to be reincarnated back on earth. The film stars Albert Brooks (upcoming 2016 movie: Finding Dory)Meryl Streep (Mamma Mia!, upcoming November 2014 film: Into The Woods )and Rip Torn (Men In Black, Men in Black II)During his stay, he falls in love with a woman who returns his feelings. Defending Your Life is a fun comedic film that lightheartedly pokes at the idea of what may happen if a spirit is also evaluated on how much they lived their life by trusting their heart versus fear.

A Mother's Love, February 20, 2014
First off, I acknowledge that the author was brave for sharing her spirit communications with her son and her journey from hardcore skeptic/atheist to having her spiritual beliefs shifted. I wish her all the joy that this world has to offer and would guess that this book is going to continue to attract at least millions of other dedicated followers. I am also aware that at least one family member, friend, and/or fan of her work is going to downvote this review, but I must make my case on why the two stars through some of the pros and cons of My Son And The Afterlife by Elisa Medhus M.D: Pros: Medhus's great love for her family and son shines through the book. Her writings convince me that one of the reasons why she was and still is extremely close to him may stem from additional past lives that they had together which were mostly positive. Obviously, I do not condone abuse in any form, but sadly, I feel that other children and teenagers who have much more abusive parents and/or family members (and/or made to feel like the family's black sheep) may be resolving heavy karma from past lifetimes that may or may not be resolved between them and the offenders during current lifetimes. What this has to do with the author's story is that many of the positives she describes in her son and family highlight the closeness and great love that is most likely in their family from most likely positive family elements from past lives and current lifetime. It is obvious that very little heavy karma in the way of family relationships closeness is a problem with her or any of her other kids. 2nd pro: She persuasively makes a point on why she feels that she is now communicating with her son despite her being a former atheist. She truthfully explains how others treated her when she opened up about her communications with her son. 3rd positive of her book: On page 132, a convincing point is made on why having therapy and going through healing first on earth can make a soul's growth much easier than if he or she postponed such healing until after leaving the earth plane. 1st con: I do not doubt for a second that she is truly channeling her son and that he transitioned to a heavenly dimension/realm on the non-physical plane. However, I reluctantly confess that I feel that she may have unintentionally colored some of her human beliefs/perspectives and melded them with the translations given to her through her son. For instance, her son let her know that he was fine after passing over to the next realm. Non-judgemental messages from her son give a persuasive analysis on why suicide is best avoided by other souls currently thinking of it on this earth realm. However, she then goes to imply that her son is one of the occasional exception to this rule because he killed himself as part of his last earth life plan (page 55). I do believe that Erik is communicating with his mother and went to a light filled and heavenly dimension but respectfully disagree that he told her that he did it as part of his life's plan. However, I have compassion for why Elisa Medhus's grief over losing her son would cause her and the other human spirit translators involved to interpret it this way. The reason being: I do not doubt that there are unexplained reasons why countless souls have to endure hardships so early in life, but I feel that a loving God energy/consciousness would not burden a soul (especially a spirit who is just beginning to enter their life as a physically healthy man in his early 20's) to intentionally commit suicide as part of their life purpose. Additionally, even if it is true that Erik did kill himself as part of his life purpose, writing this message in this book may set a dangerous precedent to other teenagers that maybe they too are thinking of suicide because it may be part of their own life plan. 2nd con: One of her main messages in this book is the theme that Erik committed suicide and that it is no other human beings place to judge him for this. Additionally, on page xxvi, the Elisa Medhus quotes Erik as saying this "I will not stand and condone suicide, nor will I be the guy who tells you that suicide is for the weak, "I will also not say that suicide is honorable, but more of a self-expression. My point is that I do not disagree with these tenets especially since an emphasis on non-judgement is implied. However, on page 95, both Medhus and apparently her son have a conversation with each other about men and women who voluntarily intend and declare that their current lifetimes are their last lifetimes on earth. Medhus adds her human judgement on the topic by quoting, "yeah I guess if they are that disenchanted with their last life, then they need to come back." Medhus is basically judging (from her human perspective) those she feels needs to reincarnate back on earth the most without taking into account the saying " do not judge another man or woman until you have walked a mile in their shoes." It is not another person's (regardless of how wise such a person is or their earthly occupation) place to judge anyone who sets their intention for this current earth lifetime to be their last. As far as I'm concerned, if an afterlife truly exists (which I believe it probably does) then most spirits in the non-physical realm are neutral and non-judgemental about another soul's intention to end their reincarnation on earth and stay in the non-physical realms. Medhus's viewpoint on this clashes with her theme of non-judgement towards what her own son decided (although through a different drastic life decision). 3rd con: Pages 77 and 141-Medhus and her son imply that men and women who were atheists on earth go into "nothingness" on earth and apparently have a narrower vibration and a completely different afterlife. I am neither an atheist or skeptic and believe that there are actually atheists and skeptics who transition straight to heavenly dimensions upon death due to their good karma and/or having a high vibration and/or light body. As a result, I believe that compassion would be extended to such spirits when they pass over into the spirit world. With the author being a former atheist, she may have been unintentionally adding her own human perspective on what she feels happens to an atheist/skeptic upon death. My other caveat with this book, is that the author did not emphasize or make it clear frequently enough in the book that her son's interpretations of the afterlife are not necessarily absolute truths and they are more or less strictly influenced by his own belief systems. I understand that there are others who will still feel guided to check out this book. However, I would also gently recommend these other channeled titles in addition for those who are curious to know more about the spirit world: The World Unseen by Anthony Borgia The Afterlife Interviews Volume 1 by Jeffrey Marks The Teachings of Silver Birch by A.W. Austen Matthew Tell Me About Heaven: A Firsthand Description Of The Afterlife by Suzanne Ward Life On The Causal Plane: A Glimpse of Heaven by Marian Eileen Charlton M.A. The Other Side of Suicide by Karen Peebles Guided by Angels: My Tour Of The Spirit World by Paddy McMahon Beyond Human Personality by Geraldine Cummins The Afterlife Unveiled: What The Dead Are Telling Us About Their World by L. Ministry of Sound: Anthems Trance is a three cd electronic dance music set containing 60 songs. Faithless, Paul Van Dyk, Tiesto, PPK, Cosmic Gate, Armin Van Buuren, Travie GuthrieThe Thrillseekers, Blank & Jones, ATB, Darude, Chicane, York, Lange Ft. Skye, Ferry Corsten, Sash, David Guetta feat. Sia, Swedish House Mafia, and Nadia Ali (plus many more dance/trance artisits) are some of the many various musicians that have their music featured on this compilation. Experimental Beat, February 20, 2014
Prophet by Zhala feat. Robyn is a catchy beat with a strong video inspired by Nirvana’s teen spirit video. The music sounds like a mashup of middle eastern, dance pop, ambient music, and electronic music influences. Prophet by Zhala feat. Robyn is a good song to listen to for those who like originative music blends and/or familiar with any of the songs by Robyn.
