For An Adult Romantic Playlist, January 3, 2016
I preface this review by making it clear that I enjoy music by both Katy Perry and Taylor Swift (despite the difficult history tying them to John Mayer). However, in fairness to reviewing just the song, the tune of Your Body Is A Wonderland by John Mayer is a remarkable pop-rock song that has the singer celebrating the form of his romantic interests body without resorting to put-downs and instead praising what he likes about her form (even if it is based on physical appearance). Regardless, I admit that Your Body Is A Wonderland by John Mayer is a catchy love song.

Foundation For A More Rewarding Life?, January 3, 2016
I fortunately was able to purchase Rich Habits, Rich Life; The Four Cornerstones of All Great Pursuits by Randall Bell PhD (Author), Rich Germaine (Narrator), Leadership Press Institute (Publisher) with my audible membership and use one of my audible credits. The narrator does carefully go over the marshmallow study and explains how richness pours into other areas of a person’s life. However, the one area where I would have to definitely listen to the audio more times is where it is implied to not concern oneself with money as much. To the authors credit, he did not say that money was not important at all, it was just that I was hoping that there would be more info covered as to what to do if a person cannot ignore the popular saying that money does not matter even if they tried to. For instance, during my last year in the navy I easily made at least 3,000 dollars after taxes which influenced me to truly feel rich and I would have been probably had an easier time truly believing that it is not about the money. Please, know that I’m grateful for the money I pulled in then and what I pulled in during 2015, even with the fact that I made 11.29 per hour during the final quarter of the year. I know that it is up to me to make more money in 2016 and beyond, but I was just trying to diplomatically explain why it is currently hard for me to ignore the popular saying (even among many well-meaning popular and influential people) that it is not about the money (and I was hoping that there might be some advice on how to truly accept and believe the well-meaning saying that it is not about the money when a person’s external reality reflects otherwise). Aside from that popular money saying caveat from many well-meaning people, Rich Habits is still a meaningful audiobook to listen to.

Daring Vintage Rock Songs, January 3, 2016
Reload by Tom Jones contains a multitude of exuberant pop-rock songs and vintage songs with such melodies as Burning Down The House (feat. The Cardigans), Mama Told Me Not To Come (Feat. The Stereophonics), Track 7 and Track 18, Lust For Life (feat. the Pretenders) and more satisfactory hits. I admit that I only first heard of Tom Jones via MTV around the time I was 18/19 because of the song If I Only Knew being featured on tv (I just truthfully forgot if it was MTV or VH1 playing If I Only Knew). I then became more curious about Tom Jone’s music from one of his songs being featured on a music import that I purchased when I was stationed in Japan (in the early 2000’s) and a greatest hits collection by Tom Jones that was featured in an Orlando, Florida public library that I lived nearby during part of 2009 and part of 2010.

Insightful Music Collection, January 3, 2016
Melt by Peter Gabriel Remastered (but what is listed to be Melt by Peter Gabriel 3) contains a blend of 80’s synth-pop and hints of world music with the somber but musically strong tunes of Games Without Frontiers and Biko. Much to my pleasant surprise, I also greatly found Lead A Normal life to be musically pleasant (Lead A Normal Life sounds like a song that could easily have a home in a Chill-out radio station and/or Coffee House type of radio station that includes indie and/or synth pop music).

Musically Covered With Compelling 80’s/90’s Contemporary Rock, January 3, 2016
Phil Collins No Jacket Required contains late 80’s/90’s classic soft rock/pop rock hits, which some have also been featured on radio/television before such as Sussudio, Take Me Home, One More Night etc. This No Jacket collection by Phill Collins is great to have if you like 80’s/90’s pop/rock songs and/or if you are previously familiar with any songs/music by Phil Collins.

Iconic Classic Rock and/or Adult Contemporary Soft-Rock, January 3, 2016
Bon Jovi Greatest Hits (The Ultimate Collection) 2 Cd Deluxe Edition Collection contains a blend of rock/pop and classic rock songs that Bon Jovi are popular for such as Living On A Prayer, It’s My Life, I’ll Be There For You, Who Says You Can’t Go Home (feat. Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland), Always etc. I admit that the songs Living On A Prayer and It’s My Life are some of the songs that are some of the multiple songs that are greatly helping me as I carefully plan out my future. However, this collection by Bon Jovi is also great for eclectic music lovers regardless of whether or not they heard Bon Jovi’s music through the radio or television while growing up because of the various life themes that Bon Jovi touches on during their songs (though if you do grow up listening to Bon Jovi either through the radio and/or television then you are obviously going to have an easier time listening and enjoying this 2 Cd deluxe edition of Bon Jovi’s Greatest Hits).

Touches A Musical Cord, January 3, 2016
Female of the Species by Space is a futuristic indie/alternative rock type of song that seems to be playfully poking fun (in a musical way) on how many females are capable of being femme fatales. I’m guessing that the music group Space must have chose a song that hit a musical cord because I actually remember hearing this song on a local rock radio station when I was around 16 years old. Additionally, my husband and I have a strong marital bond that endures and grows stronger through both challenging and good times, but even he diplomatically explained to me why what Space sings about in Female of the Species could be true and obviously apply to some females.

Enduring Love Type of Song, January 3, 2016
Let’s Stay Together by Al Green, from what I read online, is an uplifting pop and R&B tune about enduring/lasting love. The title of the song itself symbolizes the whole meaning of the tune, which denotes to me that this tune would make a great love playlist for eclectic music listeners.

Modern Twist On Peter Pan, January 3, 2016
Pan is a fantasy type of film that stars Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard, Garrett Hedlund as James Hook, Levi Miller as Peter Pan, Rooney Mara as Tiger Lily etc. (and more actors/actresses in this film). Naturally, the character of Peter Pan has a challenging time adjusting to the new world that he finds himself in because of the way that he ended up there. What I also did enjoy about the Pan movie is that the scriptwriters seemed to want to create a positive theme type of story where the characters in Neverland are from various backgrounds, but co-exist harmoniously together.

Touching Electronic/Acoustic Love Song, January 3, 2016
Find You (Acoustic Live In Los Angeles) by Zedd is also great if also enjoy the standard club dance track of Find You by Zedd (feat. Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant). Both versions (this acoustic live in Los Angeles and the one feat. Matthew Koma and Miriam Bryant) are heart-string pulling club love songs and symbolize healthy and enduring love because of the lyrics where you go I follow you (I take it to be two people who are in love and to where they are in each other’s hearts regardless of whether their romantic relationship is local or a long distance relationship).

Best If You Are Previously Familiar With Kylie Minogue, January 3, 2016
I say this mainly because multiple songs on Abbey Road Sessions by Kylie Minogue are quieter musical versions from Minogue’s previous music compilations such containing her great club/dance hits such as On A Night Like This, Come Into My World, Can’t Get You Out of My Head, Locomotion etc. (however, I do enjoy alot Kylie’s musical take of Finer Feelings on This Abbey Road sessions edition). The best way to see if you may like the quieter versions of Kylie Minogue’s songs on Downtown Abbey sessions are to check out some of her songs that are currently available online such as Come Into My World, Can’t Get You Out of My Head etc. and/or obtain one of her greatest hit collections if possible such as her 2012 The Best of Kylie Minogue collection and/or her 2005 Ultimate Kylie Greatest Hits collection.

Healing Folk/Rock Country Song, January 3, 2016
Stay On by Tinkabelle is a bright/cheery folksy type of rock/country song that appears to maintain a glass half full/optimistic type of outlook regardless of what occurs externally in one’s life. The online music video that goes with Stay On by Tinkabelle also has the valiant vibe/happy imagery of her greeting an Eagle as she keeps a focus towards her bright life and bright future (which I take as a positive musical message to continue to soar towards your goals and happier life regardless of what happens to the relationships with people you know in your life whether that be friendship, romantic, etc.). I’m fortunate because I’m blessed to have an amazing husband who loves me and stays married to me regardless of how much money I bring him (yes in turn I treat him with the same love and respect). However, one of the reasons why Stay On by Tinkabelle is healing to me is due to the fact that many times I have reluctantly lost friendships with some of the platonic friends that I cared about during professional and/or financial changes in my life despite my best efforts to save and/or maintain some of those platonic friendships (which also indirectly influences why I intend to eventually permanently settle/putting down roots living in my preferred area of choice, whether that is Virginia or California). If you like Stay On by Tinkabelle, then you may also enjoy the song Hold On by Tinkabelle (which is one of the reasons I intend to eventually buy On My Way by Tinkabelle sometime within the next 6-9 months).

Healing Club Anthem, January 3, 2016
Lay It All On Me by Rudimental (feat. Ed Sheeran) (Sultan & Shepard remix) appears to be a song about being there for someone during both good times and challenging times. The way that this quirky club/electronic/pop song seems to be written is in a positive anthem for either platonic friendships or romantic relationships (whether casual, long-term couple, married etc). The online music video goes with the song beautifully as well.

Rousing Club/Dance Music, January 3, 2016
14 Hits by E-Type contains a medley of high energy club/Euro-dance hits that start with an upbeat meaning such as with Set The World on Fire, This Is The Way, Paradise (feat. Nana Hedin), which makes this a perfect Eurodance compilation when you are looking to listen to music tunes on the happier side. I actually bought this music compilation, back in January 2010 while living in Orlando Florida, certainly not to brag and/or show-off, but more as an admission of how I have had a strong interest in club/techno music even before it started to gain increased momentum in mainstream radio airplay here within the United States.

Fun Commotion of A Dance/Club Song, January 3, 2016
Raindrops by Sash! Feat. Stunt (Encore Une Fois) has an exhilarating party vibe type of song to it (the song appears to be about two people who are romantically into each other and feel alive around each other). I admit that I first heard of this song around 2006 (a version from the Trance Party 6 compilation mixed by the Happy Boys that I had bought inside a naval exchange store in Mayport,Florida), but Raindropsby Sash! Feat. Stunt (Encore Une Fois) is one of those songs that I can listen to several times during the week and still enjoy because of the daring lyrics and intoxicating blend of high energy dance/club music.

Strong Guitars, Complex Meaning, January 3, 2016
Possum Kingdom by the Toadies is one of the rock songs that I first heard (via both radio and television) around the time I was 15 years old. I admit that, up until today, I truthfully thought that Possum Kingdom may have been more of a type of song about two people meeting up in secret, maybe romantically but in a harm-free intent. However, looking up the meaning of the song online, I’m still trying to reconcile someone else’s interpretation with me liking the song, but I still plan on keeping this song in my storytelling arsenal.

Pink Cadillac by Natalie Cole is a fun 80’s classic pop/rock song that I remember played on the radio when I was a child. Feeling of Being on A Perpetual Honeymoon Type of Love Song?, January 3, 2016
Wonderful by Eric Clapton is a heartfelt classic love rock song that covers what it feels like to be with someone who sees the inner and outer beauty of you. Yes, I understand that the singer is actually singing about his love interest who turns many heads at the party they attend. However, I think that it can also be a positive love song about two people who are in a relationship together who also keep on the rose-colored glasses (metaphorically speaking) even after they have been together for a long time.

Electronic/Synth-Pop Love song, January 2, 2016
I first heard the electronic/synth pop song of Radiophonic by Pet Shop Boys on what was either iheartradio or Pandora radio around summer/autumn 2014. The song is very uplifting/has an optimistic mood feel and (without me looking up the meaning of the song) I’m guessing the song has to do with being around someone who has both an inner and/or outer physical beauty about them (as well as the feelings of love they evoke with the lyrics alluding to being in love).

Improving Circumstances In Life, January 2, 2016
The Only Way is Up by Martin Garrix is a unique club mashup that to me symbolizes –musically and metaphorically- that circumstances in life can only get better and/or more improved from now on. I enjoy how the well time upbeat tempos go along with the theme of The Only Way is Up, This track may be a little bare and/or sparse on vocals, yet to me it The Only Way Is Up by Martin Garrix would still make a good song to hear in a feel good type of playlist.

I’m familiar with the music from The Pretty Hate Machine by Nine Inch Nails because I first started listening to music from this compilation around the time I was 16 or 17 years old. However, one must have an open mind to listen to this industrial rock music because of the songs touching on push the envelope type of issues such as in Head Like a Hole, Terrible Lie, Kinda I Want To, The Only time etc. Although, I do admit that the cd version I had did not have the Queen remake of Get Down Make Love (which is also a musically incredible song, yet also another tune where one has to have an open mind to listen to the music).

It was an extremely easy decision for my husband and I to recently check out the Star Wars; The Force Awakens film (especially because my husband has been interested in the Star Wars films since he was a child). Anyhow, the movie has a full cast of both well-known and newer celebrities/actresses (easily found through an online search) and simultaneous stories going on at once (a story of a villain and the parents who hope to keep him from staying completely evil before it’s too late, a character portraying the role of a spiritual oracle to some other characters put together as if by destiny, one of the characters wanting to go back to their place of birth while realizing that they may not be able to actually go back to the way things were etc).

If You Like Science Fiction Films and/or The Interstellar movie, January 2, 2016
Fortunately, my husband agreed to watch the film The Martian as a favor to me. The Martian stars Matt Damon as an astronaut named Mark Watney who is fighting to stay alive after the rest of the crew reluctantly and mistakenly leave him for dead. There is an all-star cast of some very multiple well-known celebrities in this film (also easily found via an online search) and a great plot of how the other crew members end up working together for key missions (including plot and character development as Damon’s Watney character figures out ways to strive to stay alive). There is also a good music soundtrack to go with The Martian, with some of the songs playing during the course of the film.

The Love of A Mother For Her Son Coming Through This Book, December 30, 2015
Flying High In Spirit: A Young Snowboarder’s Account of His Ride Through Heaven by Mikey Morgan with Roberta Grimes touches on the story of a mother (Carol Morgan)who makes contact with her son who is mentioned about residing in the sixth level of a higher world of light (a world within heaven) in the afterlife. However, it is discussed that there are many worlds throughout these levels and the levels of heaven are technically not linear as how we on earth may perceive it. However, there are the levels of darkness that are discussed. On the positive side, I did enjoy that this book included that there are several universities and opportunities to enjoy music through many concerts in the higher (heavenly) worlds. There is more that I would like to say about the book, including a topic discussed in the book that I respectfully disagree with (but my heart is guiding to refrain from mentioning it in this review).Towards the end of the book, Carol Morgan does mention her side of the story in terms of how she knew her son Mikey Morgan during his short time on earth.

This collection of Kick by INXS includes some strong classic rock/pop hits with the songs New Sensation, Need You Tonight, Never Tear Us Apart, New Sensation etc. Their songs touch on relatable issues. For instance, Need You Tonight touches on the intricate details of relationships while Devil Inside touches on the controversial issue that many people have a shadowy side within them (in additional to the common knowledge potential of being what is socially considered “good”). Kick by INXS is also perfect for people who enjoy 80’s era pop/rock songs.

Spiritual Light; Universal Teachings From the Highest Realms by Michael Flagg (Compiler), John Finnemore (Compiler) is best read by a person who has an open mind because of the material being channeled. Among the hot button topics that this book covers are areas such as on page 117 on To Know Nothing and To Know Little with an excerpt of this quotation; to state that one knows nothing is foolish, for everyone knows some things , and there is much more that can be concluded by those who reason (there is obviously more in that passage on page 117 but my intuition guided me to say no more on it). There is also the hot topic issue of The Curse of Envy on page 146 with the following quoted writings; Envy is generally noted with regard to material things-mainly money and the things that money can buy. Less common, but far more harmful is the envy of another’s ability or spirituality. This type of envy often takes cruel forms especially towards subordinates. The ways this envy manifests; seizing every chance to find fault with them with hope that they will never be professionally happy and/or fulfilled, attempts to humiliate them, and in extreme cases dispensing with their services even if it means cutting off one’s nose to spite their face. This passage may also ruffle the feathers of some gifted and/or charismatic leaders because the following is also written; The envy may also be expressed in leaders (of small or large organizations) who behind a façade of humility may have such a desire for adulation bordering on worship that they do the following; undermining anyone who is popular or becoming popular, stopping at nothing to break-up friendships or developing friendships that may threaten their position on the pedestal that they have created for themselves, belittling anyone in their organization who surpasses them in knowledge or wisdom, and attempting to curb anyone else’s skill in any sphere/area in which they themselves express but do not excel. There is much more in this remarkable book, but I’m feeling intuitively guided to avoid revealing more about the book in this review.

If You Enjoyed Listening To Devil Without A Cause, December 30, 2015
This compilation of Rock N Roll Jesus by Kid Rock is just as enjoyable to listen to, if not more so because of the multiple rock hits on this collection with the tunes of So Hott, All Summer Long, Sugar etc. A fine tuned collection for many people who enjoy 2000’s era rock.

Superb 2008 Beyonce, December 30, 2015
I Am Sasha Fierce by Beyonce has some fabulous dance/pop songs on here such as Sweet Dreams, Single Ladies, and Halo (I admit that I like Halo the most from this collection because it makes me think of my sweet husband). Anyhow, I Am Sasha Fierce by Beyonce is perfect if you enjoy pop/dance mashups and/or you are familiar with any of Beyonce’s songs (from my point of view she has multiple good songs to choose from both her earlier and later musical offerings such as Survivor,Love On Top, Haunted, etc.)

Classic Rock Beatles?, December 30, 2015
I admit that I decided to take a chance on listening to Abbey Road by The Beatles after seeing them featured on iheartradio and with my Amazon prime subscription this past Christmas. Additionally, back around 2006/2007 one of my former bosses joked that I looked like someone who might enjoy listening to the Beatles (I truthfully do feel that the joke was only made in good intentions but it was around this past Christmas when my husband politely told me that he agreed with the playful assessment that one of my former bosses joked with me about-in regards to looking like someone who would enjoy the Beatles). There are some noteworthy rock tunes on Abbey Sessions such as I Want You (She’s So Heavy), Golden Slumbers,Sun King etc. This collection is best enjoyed by someone who is at least familiar with some of their songs (I’m previously familiar with some of their music from first hearing their song Love Me Do around the time I was 6 years old, Say Say Say by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson around the time I was 7 years old, and the song Maybe I’m Amazed by the Beatles from a local radio station (in Norfolk Virginia) around 2008,

Quality alternative rock music, December 30, 2015
Love Stuff by Elle King has a bluesy folk/vintage music type of feel to it. The songs on Love Stuff could probably easily belong to a type of movie if a remake of Kill Bill and/or Pulp Fiction ever occurred. Definitely good to listen to if you are drawn in by her vocals on the Ex’s and Oh’s songs and/or other tunes such as Make You Smile, See You Again, etc.

Good To Enjoy Life Type of Song, December 30, 2015
Good To Be Alive (Hallelujah) by Andy Grammer is a very happy poppish/dance song that actually made me even more grateful for what I have in my life after this song. I admit that I unintentionally discovered this song after hearing it on the radio recently as I was doing my dishes. I take this song Good To Be Alive by Andy Grammer as a Glass Half Full type of anthem.

Unconventional Ideas Towards Living Different Ways, December 29, 2015
Menus For Impulsive Living; A Revolutionary Approach to Organizing and Energizing Your Life by Kurt Leland covers a diverse number of ways to live life more spontaneously. For instance, on pages 78-79 the author recommends ideas such as listening to quiet music to evoke indirect healing and reading novels and/or watching movies as tools for self-realization/life purpose (for instance, the author references the Star Wars trilogy movies for hero themes/fulfilling life purpose). The author also lists that apartment and/or house hunting can also be used as tools towards a new self-image.

Good Music To Go With The Knight’s Tale Film, December 29, 2015
A Knight’s Tale Music From The Motion Picture Contains an eclectic mix of classic rock music such as We Will Rock You by Queen, music from War, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Heart, David Bowie,Eric Clapton, and more artists. However, due to most of the songs leaning towards the rock music genre, A Knight’s Tale Music From the Motion Picture is best for those who are open to listening to eclectic variants of classic rock music.

A Classic Retelling of Rags to Riches, December 28, 2015
In the film Ever After; A Cinderella Story, a Grande Dame (Jeanne Moreau) opens with the story of a legendary woman. The film stars Drew Barrymore as Danielle, a woman who’s life greatly changes after her father (Jeroen Krabbe) unexpectedly passes away. Danielle tries to forge a connection with her new stepmother Baroness Rodmilla De Ghent (Anjelica Houston) and her stepsisters Jacqueline de Ghent (Melanie Lynskey) and Marguerite de Ghent (Megan Dodds). Jacqueline warms up to her but all the attempts that Danielle tries to get along with her stepmother are in vain. Danielle’s life dramatically changes even further when she stumbles upon Prince Henry (Dougray Scott) taking one of the family animals. Prince Henry’s parents King Francis (Timothy West) and Queen Marie (Judy Parfitt) are well intentioned in their love for their son Prince Henry yet one source of friction is that they want him to marry as soon as possible (whereas the Prince wants to naturally take his time and find the right one for him rather than just rush into an arranged marriage).

Autumn 2010 Swedish House Mafia, December 28, 2015
Until One (Deluxe) Edition by Swedish House Mafia contains a wide range of club and electronic songs remixed ranging from One (Your Name feat. Pharell), One More Time by Daft Punk, remixed version of Walking On A Dream by Empire of The Sun and more. The music on Until One (Deluxe) Edition by Swedish House Mafia is also superb music introduction that leads up musically to their 2012 hit “Don’t You Worry Child” (which I admit is one of the songs that has been helping me to get through this month).

If You Enjoy The 24 Television Series (starring Kiefer Sutherland), December 26, 2015
24: Redemption is a film that starts Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer in a fictional region of Sangala Africa. Bauer is helping his friend Carl Benton (Robert Carlyle) at a school for war orphans. The beginning of the movie actually depicts children being controversially used as soldiers. Anyhow, Bauer is wanted by the United States government and ends up also being unexpectedly drawn into a situation where he has to try to help his friend Benton save the children at the school from getting kidnapped and held against their will to become child soldiers. Two children had actually been shot trying to run away from some of the men who were trying to round the children up to be employed as soldiers against their will. What complicates matters even further is that the men kidnapping the children against their will are being financially funded by a shrewd leader named Jonas Hodges (Jon Voight). On the other side of the world (in the United States) a woman by the named of Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones)is about to be inaugurated as President on the United States by outgoing President Noah Daniels(Powers Boothe) and is being briefed on the situation in Sangala. Of course, there is much more to the quality of the 24:Redemption movie (including more actors/actresses) involved but I must leave out further detail for anyone looking at this who has not yet seen the movie.

My husband told me that he read the Phantom Tollbooth book as a child, December 26, 2015
Phantom Tollbooth is a good movie to watch for aspiring writers because of the plot development on the main character's personality. Additionally,I’m so glad to have discovered the Phantom Tollbooth movie from Amazon. Phantom Tollbooth deals with a young boy, who from the looks of the movie, lives in California and is unintentionally transported to a mysterious world filled with numbers and digits. Phantom Tollbooth is also dispersed with various positive messages, such as a scene where a “watchdog” politely helps the boy shift his thinking from doldrums to an improved way of life via helping him to think of particular areas of interest that are more interesting and/or happy.
