"Hero of America", August 8, 2011
"Captain America" was a well thought out and cleverly orchestrated movie. Chris Evans plays a man by the name of Steve Rogers who has to go to great lengths to qualify for military service. After countless attempts at getting in to qualify for the draft his life is changed by a man who is touched by his intense dedication to serving his country. The man is responsible for helping Steve Rogers transform his figure and become more physically powerful. The character of Steve Rogers goes on to become "Captain America" and works tirelessly to lead hundreds of troops in battle to defend America and the rest of the world. I admit that I at first did not plan to see the film, but was persuaded to do so by my husband (he really wanted to see it). I obviously agreed to watch the film, and I am glad that I did because it exceeded my expectations. Chris Evans is a great actor, and I look forward to seeing him in the 2012 showing of "The Avengers". I wholeheartedly recommend this "Captain America" movie for anyone who has enjoyed any of the Marvel films.

"Relaxation del Mar", August 8, 2011
"Café Del Mar, Vol. 9" is a calming collection of 14 songs that are very relaxing and uplifting. These musical tracks contain elements that combine the chill-out and electronica musical genres. My overall favorite song on this collection is "The Cure" because the singer of this song has beautiful vocals. In addition, "The Cure" seems to be about wanting to experience the blessing of peace in all areas of one's life. The musical track "Troya" has a carefully crafted harmonious blend of songs. "Café Del Mar Vol. 9 is great for anyone who enjoys the blend of electronica and chill-out music.

"No Doubt Classics", August 8, 2011
This greatest hits collection by No Doubt gives a good representation of their various hits from the 1990s and the millennium via 15 songs on one cd. What I enjoy the most about this collection is that there is intensity and creative effort put forth in the songs. For example, in "Hey Baby" Gwyneth Stefani pays special attention in making sure to craft her catchy song with an interesting story. She does this by singing about her experiences in high school. The musical track "Hella Good" has her singing the message of just having a good time, and to just keep on dancing. My overall favorite musical track in this collection is "Underneath it All". "Underneath It All" is a beautiful musical reminder of my spouse's many good qualities. "Underneath It All" is a strongly developed musical track about how a partner has many positive qualities inside of them, and the abundance of love that they express. This greatest hits edition by No Doubt is best to get if you enjoy listening to any songs by No Doubt and/or for music lovers of the rock/pop genres.

"Continuation of Exciting Trance/Dance Music", August 8, 2011
"Future Trance 56" is one of the more recent well assembled collections in the Future Trance series. I enjoy listening to "Future Trance 56" because it contains fantastic futuristic dance tracks as the other modern Future Trance collections. "Future Trance 56" contains a variety of 43 songs (22 on Disc One and 21 on Disc Two). My two favorite songs in "Future Trance 56" are "Excited" and "Mr. Saxobeat". "Excited" is an upbeat dance tune about a person who invokes strong feelings of intensity in someone. "Mr. Saxobeat" appears to be a musical track about a man who brings elements of fun and adventure in a person's world. "Future Trance" 56 is good to obtain for anyone who craves listening to a crafty collection of electronica songs with themes of love, happiness, and making the most of life.

"Energetic Trance", August 8, 2011
"Future Trance 45" is a unique musical compilation of various electronica musical tracks. My top three favorite songs in this cd are "7 days" by Megastylez, "Keep On Trying" by 2 Vibez, and "Heart to Heart" by Rob Mayth. "7 days" is a catchy dance tune about caring for someone constantly, and striving to give them your best in a relationship. "7 days" contains unique robot vocals and video game inspired music. "Keep on Trying" is a positive musical gem about persisting even in the face of adversity, and regardless of the behavior of others in your external environment. "Keep on Trying" sends a powerful message to also be emotionally strong, and find a way to transform obstacles into opportunity even when things may turn out differently than planned. "Heart to Heart" is a fun dance song about having feelings for someone, but deciding to stay silent unless the feelings are proven mutual. "Future Trance 45" is great for anyone who enjoys electronica/dance compilations.

"A Sampler of Annie Lennox's Finest", August 8, 2011
Annie Lennox's greatest hits collection contain a good mix of her top hits from the 1990s and the millennium. I remember being introduced to her music as a teenager (through the "Walking on Broken Glass" music video that was shown on VH1). The video is very creative because there are many actors and actresses that are wearing costumes that are affiliated with the nobility of 18th century Europe. The songfacts websites lists that the video is inspired by the "Dangerous Liaisons" movie. Both Annie Lennox and John Malkovich gave good performances in the "Walking on Broken Glass" music video. I am definitely now inspired to check out the "Dangerous Liaisons" film, and the song "Walking on Broken Glass" is fortunately contained in this collection. Disc One contains many of the 90's classics of Annie Lennox and Disc Two contains many of her millennium hits. The third edition is the dvd that features the actual musical videos for the songs. One of the musical tracks that is an additional favorite song and video is "Little Bird" (also on both the cd and dvd). "Little Bird" is about a soul wanting to soar to great heights in life, and transform all obstacles into stepping stones to their dreams. The video to "Little Bird" is fun to watch because there are many people shown playing as Annie Lennox doubles. I also like the costumes and the theme of breaking free via the idea of dancing that is prevalent in the music video. Annie Lennox's greatest hits is best to obtain for those who enjoy any of her songs and/or 90s/millennium music.

"Aqua Classics", August 8, 2011
"Greatest Hits" by Aqua is very well assembled and contains many fun pop hits. This collection has many happy and fun musical tracks to listen to (such as "Barbie Girl", "Happy Boys and Girls", and "Back to the 80's"). My two favorite songs on this cd are "Lollipop" and "Around the World" (the music videos to both of these songs are also very good). "Lollipop" is a catchy and risqué love song about a love interest that is captivating (the space themed musical video is very humorous). "Around the World" is a high-energy musical track that is about someone that has been a part of many experiences during their worldwide travels (the spy-themed music video to "Around the World" is very riveting). Aqua's greatest hits is best to get for music lovers of the dance and/or dance/pop genres.

"A Unique Wonderland", August 8, 2011
"Oh Land" is a great collection of songs that are very uplifting and dreamy. Listening to these musical tracks on this cd is a very sublime experience because many of these songs have strong themes of love and emotion. For example, "Perfection" is a very unique song that has a great beat, and appears to be about someone consumed with studying their target of admiration. I admit that I find this song catchy and fantastic, but it is hard for me to confess this as I am aware that "Perfection" is possibly from a stalker point of view. My overall favorite song from this compilation is "Rainbow". I love the "Rainbow" song because it is a joyful musical track that reminds me of my husband in a positive way. "Rainbow" is a song that is about someone that has brought much love, understanding, and transformation in a person's life. "Oh Land" is best for anyone that enjoys unique and ethereal pop music.

"Washington D.C. Fun", August 8, 2011
"Frommer's Washington D.C.: Free & Dirt Cheap" is a fantastic guide that contains a great mix of activities to do in the Washington D.C. area. The following are some of the high-quality information that is included:
1) Chapter 1: Calendar of Events: I find this chapter informative because it lists information on the exciting activities planned for each month. I feel empowered after reading this because it allows an increase in being "in the know" of the monthly activities going on in the D.C. area.
2) Chapter 4 (starts on page 90): Exploring Washington D.C.: I enjoyed reading about some of the parks that are available for sight-seeing such as the United States Botanic Garden and Enid A. Haupt Garden. There is also some good details on the museums that are available for sight-seeing (such as the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the National Portrait Gallery).
3) Chapter 6 (starts on page 188): Free & Dirt Cheap Living: There is a feature inside this chapter called "Exercising the Mind" (Cato Institute and Heritage Foundation) and Entertainment/Nightlife (Shakespeare Theatre Company, Capitol Holiday Concerts, and Millenium Stage).
Frommer's Washington,D.C. is best to get for anyone that plans to see the many sights and sounds of the D.C. area with the intention of maximizing cost and time.

"HitchHiker's Guide to the Universe", August 8, 2011
"Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is a unique science fiction film that pokes fun at bureaucracy and Armageddon scenarios. The film revolves around the main character of Arthur Dent (played by Martin Freeman as per Imdb). Arthur's world is turned upside down when a race of alien beings plan to come to Earth in order to deconstruct it, and convert it to a galaxy shortcut. The movie contains (also as per Imdb) an all star cast of various actors and actresses that add additional life to the film (such as the great performance of Alan Rickman as Marvin the robot, Zooey Deschanel as Trillian and Arthur's secret love interest). There are other great actors and actresses of this film (I am just keeping it brief to get to the point). Arthur gets saved and transported to space courtesy of help from his space traveler friend (played by Mos Def). Both Arthur and his friend escape the ship that they hitched a ride on, and end up in another spacecraft where they run into Trillian and her companion (played by Sam Rockwell). During the journey Arthur ponders his life more deeply, and wonders what could have been if he would have traveled more with Trillian. The movie heavily centers around the relationship dynamics of Arthur and Trillian. In addition, Arthur and Trillian end up requiring the assistance of others (both their robot and alien friends) in order to fulfill their mission of seeing if they can save Earth, and keep themselves alive. The "HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy" is best for anyone that wants a light-hearted science fiction film.

"Life in Translation", August 8, 2011
"Lost in Translation" is a great film starring Bill Murray who plays a successful actor named Bob. Bob happens to be a millionaire who commands popularity and acceptance in Japan. He is living in two worlds where he is striving to meet the needs of his employer, and that of his wife and family back home in the states. He meets a college graduate named Charlotte (played by Scarlett Johansson) who also happens to be married and is accompanying her successful photographer husband to Japan. Charlotte plays a woman who loves her husband, but is also in the process of finding her professional role in life. Charlotte's husband cares for her tremendously, but is unable to spend as much time with her as he would like due to work commitments. Charlotte and Bob cross paths and end up being temporary friends in Japan. They explore the various clubs and hangouts in Tokyo with their friends. I do believe that this film had a strong story because it covers the universal themes of how essential it is to create a plan on where you want to go in life, and to creatively construct new plans if and/or when setbacks occur. For Charlotte she is only experiencing a temporary setback of pinpointing where she intends to professionally in her life. For Bob, he is doing fine professionally but he too is setting a new intention in his life (except more in his family arena). I liked watching this film because it brought back some positive memories I had of when I was living in Japan (via the U.S. military) during the time period of September 2000 until October 2003. "Lost in Translation" is best for anyone who enjoys seeing the idea of universal lessons being played out for a man and/or woman living in a different cultural setting.

"Festive Dimension Travel", August 8, 2011
"Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension" is a great movie that revolves around the adventures of a family that end up in an alternate reality. The mastermind behind this event is the character of Doofenshmirtz (played by Dan Povemire as per the imdb website). Perry the Platypus is another character that is used to portray the family pet who is an undercover spy. He is trying to do his part to save his owners (Phineas and Ferb) from being harmed while simultaneously safeguarding his true identity. In addition, Phineas and Ferb's older sister Candace normally enjoys trying to catch them in their scientific activities. Candace does this with the secret hope that their mother would also catch Phineas and Ferb in the midst a science experiment. Candace even seems to be bothered by the fact that her brothers enjoy coming up with some innovative technological creations. However, she changes her feelings about this during the time in an alternate reality. In the second dimension, she meets her alternate version where Phineas and Ferb do not partake in growth enhancing discoveries (influenced by the second dimension Candace being too overprotective of her younger brothers). I enjoyed watching this movie because it sent out the positive message that happiness can be found in the present. This film is also very uplifting (and can stimulate laughter) because it contains humorous scenes pertaining to what can happen when a person is allowed to play in separate dimensions. "Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension" is great to watch to invoke an uplifting mood.

"A Natural Moisturizer", August 8, 2011
I concur with the other reviewers as to how great that "Africa's Best Organics Detangle Lotion" (with extra virgin olive oil plus shea butter) is for both naturally curly and relaxed hair. What I like most about this product is that it moisturizes the hair while leaving the hair naturally soft. I am a woman with naturally curly hair that changes textures depending on the weather (here in the D.C. area it can get both humid and rainy in the same day during the summer), and this product keeps my hair moisturized even when the rain gets to it. This product can be safely used by both children and adults from various racial backgrounds. I was fortunate to have discovered this product last summer, and my husband has remarked that it smells good in my hair, and has helped soften it. "Africa's Best Organics Detangle Lotion" is best to get if you are looking for a hair lotion that provides an adequate amount of moisture while simultaneously containing a pleasant scent.

"Harry Potter and the Exciting Hallows", July 19, 2011
"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2 deals with Harry (played by Daniel Radcliffe) coming to terms with the changing nature of the friendships with the people in his life. Harry fortunately has many people on his side to help him in the battles with Lord Voldemort. Lord Voldemort and his entourage try to isolate Harry, but it ends up only helping because of the fact that the movie deals with others joining Harry in the quest for a more peaceful environment. Emma Watson and Rupert Grint continue to effectively play his two best friends (Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley) that are there to help Harry prevail in restoring harmony to the Hogwarts School. Many of the actors gave a good performance, but my husband's personal favorite actress was Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange (one of Lord Voldemort's trusted servants). This is because my husband felt that Helena's character of Bellatrix gave a great performance as an evil and powerful witch with magical powers that kept Harry Potter on his toes with daring supernatural battles. I can understand where my husband is coming from regarding Helena's superb acting. However, my personal favorite character of this movie was that of Severus Snape (played by Alan Rickman). Alan Rickman gave an excellent performance as a wizard that is complex and wise. The movie also gives more information as the origins of Severus Snape's persona, and a visual portrait of a teacher that actually means well for Harry. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows-Part 2" is recommended for anyone that enjoyed watching any of the other Harry Potter movies and/or fantasy films.

However, I feel that many people with curly hair are going to be helped by this conditioner, regardless of racial background. "The Rise of the Super Wealthy", July 12, 2011
"Untold Wealth: The Rise of the Super Rich" is a great dvd filled with inspiring stories of millionaires that are self-made. I enjoyed how the men(and the one woman featured) courageously shared what they did to set into motion the changes in their lives. The footage of the insides of their mansions were fun to watch as well. The information on how many of them travel and their net worth was really interesting to see as well. I already had big dreams before watching this dvd, and now I am inspired even more on doing what I can to go after my goals. I plan on watching this dvd over and over again because it has expanded my mind on what is possible to achieve in life. "Untold Wealth: The Rise of the Super Rich" is best to get if you are curious as to how some of America's wealthiest live, and/or for anyone who would like to get ideas on what to do to achieve secret dreams.

Spirit World Messages?:, July 12, 2011
Laws of The Spirit World by Khorshed Bhavnagri contains a vast information on the various worlds within the spirit realm. I confess that I’m not 100 percent sure on how to feel about the topics covered. However, the authors cover some interesting info such as: why some abrasive people would want to cover up the truth about the afterlife and call those who believe in the afterlife “crazy”, why some spirits re-incarnate back on earth to earn their way into higher realms as compared to just staying in spirit world to do so, and healing information on what a person can do if they are influenced by negative and/or suicidal thoughts

"High-Quality Classical Music", July 12, 2011
"The Classical Brit Awards 2007" is a great compilation of joyful themed classical music. My two personal favorites are "He Was Beautiful" and "World In Union". "One Fine Day" (by Hayley Wastenra), and "The Flower Duet" by All Angels are also wonderful songs. "Sara Per Te" by Katherine Jenkins is a very unique and calming song. In addition, "Sara Per Te" sounds like a high quality music track that was inspired by the classic "(Everything I Do)I Do it For You" that was created for the Robin Hood Movie (staring Kevin Costner and Alan Rickman). This collection is good to listen to in the privacy of one's own home and/or music to create a more peaceful mood.

"High-Spirited Music Collection", July 4, 2011
"American Anthems" is a fantastic set of eclectic musical hits compiled on three cds. Many of these songs have a happy summer theme and can be played at various parties, picnics, and/or barbecues. This collection is very well put together and contains many soft rock, classic rock, country, and pop classics. I understand that others reading this may have their own personal favorites. There is something for many people contained in "American Anthems" because there are 60 musical tracks. However, I have decided to list some of my personal favorite songs to assist in deciding if "American Anthems" is for you:
From Cd One:
"Don't Stop Believin" by Journey
"I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner
"Amazed" by Lonestar
"Sunny Came Home" by Shawn Colvin
From Cd Two:
"Is This Love" by Whitesnake

"Take My Breath Away" by Berlin
From Cd Three:
"Eye of the Tiger" by Survivor
"Wherever You Will Go" by The Calling
"We Built This City" by Starship
"The Way It Is" by Bruce Hornsby

"Tim McGraw Classics", July 4, 2011
"Greatest Hits" by Tim McGraw is a strong country compilation of great musical tracks. I concur with the reviewer that stated that this song is a great blend of songs that symbolize various emotional feelings. I enjoy this cd because it has an overall optimistic tone to it (even the more dramatic songs). In addition, many of these musical tunes symbolize the heart, creativity, and effort that Tim put forth. This cd is definitely worth owning because of the high-quality of the songs that have stood the test of time (and continue to do so) since its original release. The other great feature is that many of the songs are about relationships, and touch on themes of uplifting love for many couples. For example, "It's Your Love" is my husband's favorite song and symbolizes how he feels about me. "My Best Friend" is my favorite song, and is one that expresses the love that I feel for my spouse. "It's Your Love" is a great melodic gem about the healing powers of someone's love. "My Best Friend" is a fantastic music tune about loving someone that happens to be a close friend, and cares for you through both good times and challenging times. "Tim McGraw-Greatest Hits" is good to obtain if you enjoy collecting greatest hits of the country genre and/or you enjoy listening to all types of music (including love songs).

"Futuristic Music Machine", June 20, 2011
"Man Machine" by Kraftwerk is a superb sounding cd that has a good collection of unique sounds. "Man Machine" definitely sounds like a great cd that would be a good fit for many science fiction films. I say this because the songs have a great mix of futuristic electronica music melodies. My favorite songs on this compilation would be "Neon Lights", "Spacelab", and "The Model". "Spacelab" is a great musical track that has some very strong high-energy beats with a futuristic theme in them. The voice that is used for "Spacelab" complements the song perfectly. "Neon Lights" is a unique musical track that is about the beauty of the kaleidoscope of lights shimmering together in certain cities at night-time. I admit that my overall favorite song is "The Model", because it is a clever blend of an interesting story mixed in with beautiful music. "The Model" is a creative song about a person who is infatuated with a beautiful model who is very much sought after, popular, and successful. This Kraftwerk masterpiece is great to get if you love to listen to classic electronica music.

Multidimensional Abundance, June 20, 2011
"Creating Money: Attracting Abundance" by Sanaya Roman&Duane Packer is a very good guide on connecting with the vast resources of prosperity available in the universe. This book is also great because it is helpful to many people from various backgrounds and all walks of life. What I enjoy about "Creating Money" is that there are many facets and dimensions of abundance and prosperity covered. What I mean by this is that this book also contains ideas on increasing one's ability to listen to inner guidance and develop unlimited thinking. The following is a sampling of what is covered in this phenomenal title:
Following Your Inner Guidance(Chapter 5): This chapter covers information on the several kinds of inner guidance. There is also details available on ways to stimulate an intuition increase. The statements on the benefits of taking quiet time to reflect were very persuasive.
Miracles (Chapter 11): I found it wonderful to see that the chapter begins with the how and why miracles are created from love. Creative information is available in this section regarding tips to increase the miracles in all areas of one's life.
Believing In Yourself (Chapter 15): There is insightful details included as to why someone may encounter objections from those around them as they choose the path that is actually the closest to their joy. The detail that was very informative to me from this chapter is that having someone opposing you can be a blessing in disguise. I love that the authors emphasized that it is essential to avoid letting other people's images of what they see you doing influence your own personal dreams/ambitions. In addition, the authors also emphasize that in order to joyfully change your life, the belief that something better exists must be present.
There are many uplifting and inspiring affirmations available in "Creating Money". My two favorite affirmations from this book are: 1) All my experiences are opportunities to gain more power, clarity, and vision (pg. 110). 2) I serve others to the best of my ability in all I say and do (pg. 233). Creating Money: Attracting Abundance by Sanaya Roman and Duane Packer is written in the same type of loving and creative energy of the "Living with Joy" book. This guide is a healing and unique to get if you are looking for something that contains a combination of ways to increase joy and a higher receptivity to good luck.

Unique Chillout/Trance Music, June 15, 2011
"Hits: Disconnected" by Jes is a very "soul-stirring" and calming cd collection. Jes has a very beautiful singing voice that flows perfectly with these songs. In addition, many of the songs themselves have heartfelt lyrics and gorgeous music. I love how she includes the words "Into the Dawn" on the cd cover. I say this because the songs itself give a sense of joyfully facing the dawn of a new day and/or night depending on the occasion. You can even listen to this cd as one of the compilations to relax to. Two of my favorite songs on this cd are "Heaven" (Myon Remix) and "Imagination" (Richard Robson Remix). "Heaven" is a musical creation that is about finding the happiness in many things such as daily walks, and other experiences of every day life. "Imagination" is my overall favorite song on this cd. "Imagination is a gorgeous musical track about pursuing someone that a person deeply cares about, enjoying the many adventures of life with one's personal creative imagination. This message is made clear with the lyrics "Let it run away with me". "Hits: Disconnected" by Jes is great to get if you enjoy vocal chillout and/or trance music.

Artistic Musical Creations of Enya, June 15, 2011
The Very Best of Enya is a very strong compilation of musical melodies by Enya that showcase her unique blend of singing and harmonious musical melodies. I first heard of Enya back in 2001 when I heard the musical gem that is "Orinoco Flow" on one of the "Pure Moods" collections ("Orinoco Flow" is also available on the first "Pure Moods" collection). In addition, one of my friends from high school (who I miss and was one of my "spiritual sisters") listened to Enya and allowed me to hear what I think was Enya's Watermark cd. My then fiancee that I met in Japan (who luckily is now my husband) also introduced me to her (he also had the "Watermark" cd). I decided to purchase this cd when I found out online that Enya was releasing this greatest hits collection, and I am very happy that I did. In my humble opinion, all of these songs on this cd are great to listen to and relax to. My top two favorites are "Only If" and "Only Time". "Only If" is an upbeat musical track that appears to be about making the best of your life, and taking decisive action towards your dreams. "Only Time" is a great song about how only the concept of time is going to truly tell the way certain events in life are played out (metaphorical references are made towards the relationships and emotions arena). One of the most joyful ways to determine if you are going to enjoy this cd is if you like music of the following genres and artists: Enigma, Celtic music, and/or New Age music.

"Around the Globe", June 15, 2011
"Around the World" by Red Hot Chili Peppers is a very fun and imaginative song. This is a musical track about someone's experience of the fun life experiences that they take in life as they travel around the globe. The video to this song is very colorful to say the least, and shows the lead singer (Anthony Kiedis) moving around, and seeming to be at peace with describing his adventures. Towards the end of the song he appears to be singing about meeting the love of his life with the lyrics "You say hello, and I then say I do". I admit that this is one of my overall favorite songs by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This is a great song to get if you enjoy high energy rock songs and/or you have listened to and enjoyed either the "Higher Ground" or "Aeroplane" musical tracks (also by the Red Hot Chili Peppers).

Unique Housecleaning, June 8, 2011
Magical Housekeeping by Tess Whitehurst is a book that is a strong blend of mystical and housecleaning type of advice on creating a more organized environment in your home. I enjoy this book because Tess gives persuasive and fun reasons how organizing and doing different things in the arena of housecleaning around your home can be beneficial for other areas of your life as well. Her book can be used regardless of if you live in an apartment or house. The following is some of the enjoyable information contained in Tess's guide:
Clutter Clearing: She explains how physical clutter, emotional clutter, and certain areas of life are connected. She lists some of the types of clutter, and some creative ways to decide on whether or not to keep certain items. Tess also gives a great idea on a process that one can do to also forgive. I still allow myself to buy some of the things I want when it feels right and is appropriate. However, the reading of this chapter has helped make me more aware of only keeping what I am going to actually use, and when it is best to give away the high-quality excess items that someone else can use. I also am more alert to the most efficient ways of resourcefully making room for other items when I do further purchases. I must say that less than three days after first conducting the organization process an idea spontaneously came to me for a solution about something that was on my mind. Many may say that this is just coincidence, but I see it differently because of the circumstances surrounding the fruition of the solution that came less than three days after I first started the organization process.
Harmonious Positions: Tess gives a catchy blueprint of the different power centers of a home, and strategic ways on how to go about placing certain things for certain areas (such as the Creativity & Playfulness centers and the Synchronicity and Miracles center). What I also like is that she lists some steps on how to draw the plan for yourself. Tess also gives some informative bedroom tips for suggestions on where to put certain items (for instance, she gently suggests taking a balanced approach to only have a minimal number of books and decorations in the bedroom area of the home).
The Three Secrets of Empowerment: Tess gives some information on how to enhance your intentions with magical housecleaning around your home.
Magical Housekeeping by Tess Whitehurst is a great guide to get if you care about having a home that increases the well-being of your spirit.

Hot Music Committee, June 1, 2011
"Hot Sauce Committee Part 2" by the Beastie Boys is a crafty blend of rock and hip-hop. Many of the songs on the cd are high-pulse and have some good beats. My two favorite songs on this cd are "Make Some Noise" and "Say It". "Make Some Noise" sends a strong message about making your voice heard and being outspoken. "Say It" is a musical track that is related to the message of "Make Some Noise" that communicates speaking your truth except with even more assertiveness. What I also like about this collection is that the songs on the cd blend seamlessly well together. Those who enjoy the song "Sure Shot" by the Beastie Boys are the most likely to enjoy "Hot Sauce Committe Part 2" (because this "Hot Sauce" album has the same spirit of the "Sure Shot" song).

Fun This Way, June 1, 2011
"Born This Way" by Lady Gaga is a musical kalediscope of pop, rock, and dance, (with different songs that actually work together). The appeal to many of these songs on this compilation is that many of the meanings to the songs have various meanings to them such as the quirky "Government Hooker" and the "Fashion of His Love". I am only guessing that "Government Hooker" is about being many things to those around you (subconsciously acting in accordance to how someone expects you to act). "Fashion of His Love" appears to be comparing how a love of certain fashion is almost related to when you intensely care about someone. However, my two favorite songs on this catchy cd are "Heavy Metal Lover" and "Edge of Glory". "Heavy Metal Lover" seems to be a musical track about group love. "The Edge of Glory" is a daring song about taking controversial chances in the personal life arena. The easiest way to determine if you are going to like "Born this Way" is if you are open to enjoy pop, rock, and dance music. In addition, I have recently been to one of her concerts where she put much effort and fun energy into her musical performances. This compilation is similiar in the sense that you get a sense that she put forth much of that exciting energy and fused it in her songs on the "Born This Way" collection.

Inspiring for All Mental Strengths, May 18, 2011
177 Mental Toughness Secrets of the World Class by Steve Siebold is a very informative and insightful book. I too only wish that I would have known about this book sooner, but at least I know now. The following are some passages of the book that I found very helpful and that resonated with me (and to share with others a glimpse of this great information):
Pg. 60 secret #28: Champions are Comeback Artists: I enjoy how the author gives helpful tidbits on examples of people that have pulled themselves up by their bootstraps. The fact that he lists this lesson as perserverance on the physical plane, toughness on the mental plane, and artistry on the spiritual place is very inspiring. pg. 114 secret #70: The Great Ones are Products of their Own Imagination: The author mentions who champions combine action with imagination. The action step is really fun as well (he encourages you to allow your imagination to run wild with ideas of your perfect life). Pg. 155 secret #99: The Great Ones are Aware of their Limitless Potential: This statement really stood out for me because I watched a really fun movie called Limitless that starred Bradley Cooper less than two months ago. The "Limitless" movie illustrated the potential realities possible when unlimited potential is tapped into. This is similiar to the message that I believe that author is trying to send with this secret when he emphasizes that champions wake up one day and realize that their possibilities and potentials that symbolize the unlimited arena. Pg. 193 secret #124: The World Class Believes in Self-Reliance: Steve mentions how the core of fullfillment comes from within yourself and that the world class learns to rely on themselves to get the answers from within. Pg. 196 secret #126: Champions are Bold and Daring Visionaries: Mr. Siebold mentions why the importance of keeping on your vision. The recommended action step is also very exciting: He mentions a plan to make a commitment to create the ultimate vision for your life in the next 30 days, and he gives the eight life components as a guidepost. The eight life components is very enlightening for me because I have been frequently getting the feeling to implement my vision, and thanks to coming across secret #126 I now am aware the areas of my life that are beneficial for that vision (some of the helpful areas Steve recommends are faith/spiritual, social/cultural and personal development).
I am a naturally emotionally tough person, and yet this book gave me some insights on how to take my mental fortitude further. However, this book is beneficial for all levels of mental toughness.

Interesting Angel, May 18, 2011
Strange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons by George Pendle is a very riveting and informative story. The following are some of the exciting events that are discussed in this book regarding a man who was known as a brilliant rocket scientist:
Pg. 42: The close relationship that John had with his grandfather is discussed. Pg. 147: This page lists some of the influences that shaped John's spiritual views. One of the books that is mentioned as having a strong impact is The Golden Bough by Sir James George Frazer. Pg. 202: This page discusses how Parson's self-confidence was at a high level when he had just invented a whole new type of rocket fuel. This chapter also touches on his very colorful and exciting love life. I admit that I believe,in my humble opinion, any movie and/or play that is based on the details of his personal life would be very interesting and compelling to watch. Pg. 239: This portion of the book discusses how Mr. Parsons would work in harmony at his job. One of the advisors that he turned to for further fuel experiments is chemist Linus Pauling. The book also touches on some of the well-known men that knew John Parsons such as Aleister Crowley, Robert Heinlen (he wrote the science fiction book "Stranger in a Strange Land"), and Ron L. Hubbard (who is known for the controversial religion that is Scientology).
What fascinated me the most about what was included in "Strange Angel" was that it was listed how John Parsons was instrumental in the creation of the rocket, and he was self-taught. This information is inspirational to me because it confirms that brilliance/genius exists in people from various educational backgrounds (high school graduate, bachelor's degree, master's degree, Ph.D. etc.).
"Strange Angel" by George Pendel is a great book to obtain if you are open to reading fascinating biographies of scientists that courageously dared to live an unconventional and free-spirited life.

Intuitive Sight, May 18, 2011
"Second Sight" by Judith Orloff is a very good book that is a combination of an autobiography and a guide on increasing your intuition. Judith's writing in this guide is very helpful and touching. The following pages list some of the great information on why I felt this way, and why I recommend "Second Sight":
Chapter 5 on Mixing Medicine (starts on page 102)- Judith lists some rewarding experiences that transpired when she met a parapsychologist by the name of Stephan (founder and director of the Mobius group). Chapter 7 on Preparing to See (page 176): She shares how meditation has become one of the most powerful tools to help her become more intuitively connected (and how it can benefit many others as well). Chapter 8 on the Alchemy of Dreams (page 232): The helpful point that dreams can help symbolize the clues to one's future. I also appreciate how she mentioned that even the most challenging dreams are meant to serve as signposts towards whatever may need more improvement and recover vital wisdom. There is good information given on why dream journals are very important in utilizing intuition to understand one's dream visions with more clarity and memory. Chapter 9 on Intuitive Experiences in Everyday Life (page 262): The meaning and insight in what deja vu experiences symbolized are discussed. Chapter 10 on the Well-Balanced Intuitive (starts on page 285): Judith compassionately gives information and examples as to why it is essential to aim for maintaining a healthy balance between connecting to your own intuition and creating the best effort in taking a grounded approach for meeting the requirements of daily life.
"Second Sight" by Judith Orloff is a great guide to obtain and read for anyone who enjoys, and is open to reading a medical professional's courageous journey in discovering their intuition (as well as sharing tips on strengthening intuition).

"Adventures in Canada", May 14, 2011
"Project Canada" is a very strong travel documentary that gives a good glimpse of the various areas in Canada. "Project Canada" seems to be a creative labor love that was done by four American men (John, Tim, Dan, and Jake) that appreciate each other's friendship and trust each other to travel from the East Coast to the West Coast of Canada in the span of three months. The following are some of the exciting adventures that these man went on during their trip to Canada that is shown in the "Project Canada" dvd:
Newfoundland Norris Point: One of the most popular photography spots in the world. St John's Newfoundland: The dvd documents that the population has at least 170,000 people, and one of the lowest crime rates in Canada. Quebec City in Quebec: There is mention of this place being the heart of French Canada, and pop star Celine Dion's homeland. It is stated that at least ninety percent of the population that live in this area speak French. Toronto Ontario: Toronto is stated as a very diverse city that has one of the most multi-cultural cities in North America. Calgary Alberta: Calgary Stampede: One of the biggest rodeos in the world, and is known to be an international event that draws people from various places. There is also a viewing of the nightclub called the "Roadhouse" that is mentioned as Calgary's #1 night club destination, and one of the hot spots of the Calgary Stampede. Yellowknife Northwest Territories: There was a discussion of the long summer days, and there was a scene that showed the men outside in this area at 2:20 a.m. (very interesting to see that it was still light outside). This dvd provided a demonstration how this area is one to have long summer days (the "midnight sun" phenomena similiar to that of areas in Scandinavia). The Folk on the Rocks Music Festival was shown (a.k.a "Free Spirit Festival" of an eclectic blend of various musicians and music). Vancouver British Columbia: There is a statement of this place being a beautiful oceanside city. Kelowna British Columbia: Watersports are huge, and there is an exciting Duotone Arts Festival every year. Squamish British Columbia: Squamish is known as the recreation capital of Canada, and is the host city for the Logger's Sports Show. The men decide to bungee jump in Victoria, and it is stated that John was born in Winnipeg, and grew up in the states.
There is more good footage shown in the dvd, but I had an urge to give a detailed and informative summary of the great scenes available in this "Project Canada" dvd. This dvd is a great to own if you intend to at least visit Canada within the next year and/or you are interested in learning more about Canada.

Musical Light, May 14, 2011
"Wasting Light" by the Foo Fighters is an extremely well put together rock album. I do admit that I enjoy all the songs on this album, but I chose to listen to listen to this cd multiple times before reviewing this in order to gain a deeper understanding of the songs. I only say this because all eleven of the songs on "Wasting Light" are metaphorical masterpieces that are meant to be understood more from a creative level, rather than interpreting these songs literally. The following are my personal interpretations of a few of these good musical tracks (that stood out for me) in order to assist others reading this with making the decision to purchase "Wasting Light" by the "Foo Fighters":
"Rosemary": This touching musical number appears to be about someone that was very much loved, and still a spiritual and emotional part of the singer. However, this song seems to be about wishing to release this person that they very much cared about in order to make a "clean break" due to strong continual feelings.
"A Matter of Time": This song appears to be about the inevitable changes that are about to take place in a person's life, and their choice to come to terms with accepting and making peace with these shifts.
My two overall favorite songs on "Wasting Light" by the Foo Fighters are "Arlandria" and "Walk". "Walk" is currently my overall favorite musical gem that appears to be about turning over a more joyful transition to an even happier and more improved life, and looking forward to embracing whatever may come, and creating new experiences. "Arlandria" is a great song about a person's journey in coming to terms with their newfound and increasing experiences of popularity and spiritual evolution that are simultaneously taking place.
The best litmus test to determine if you are going to enjoy this cd is if you have listened to and have enjoyed "Learn to Fly" and "Everlong" (because "Wasting Light" is created in the similiar creative spirit as these songs). In addition, "Wasting Light" is very much a worthwhile purchase if you enjoy modern rock/alternative rock.

"Expressing Your Powerful Spirit", May 4, 2011
"Channeling Your Higher Self: Edgar Cayce's Concept of the Superconscious Mind and How It Can Transform Your Life" by Henry Reed is a great book that contains extensive information on connecting with your higher self. Henry Reed credits Edgar Cayce as an inspiration for the information contained in this book, and shares details on how to manifest higher self insights in for assistance in achieving goals. The following is some of the unique details included in "Channeling Your Higher Self"
1) Intuition as a Channel of Guidance: Information is shared on how to develop intuition even more (pgs. 17-46) through such tips as spending more time in nature. 2) Meeting Your Higher Self: It was very informative to find out that the appearance of a wise teacher giving you some helpful advice in your dreams is often the symbolic representation of your higher self (pg. 52) 3)Dream Incubation: Opening the Channel: Details are shared on how to use dreams as further resources in actively seeking help in whatever answers you may have (pg. 63). 4) Preparing to Channel a Dream of Guidance (pg. 66): There are details shared in how to make the preparations to manifest the guidance that you personally seek for any answers to personal questions. 5) Answers from the higher self: There are some details listed on how to use the medium of writing to facilitate the communication and connection with your own spirit (pg. 129). 6) A Spiritual Appreciation for Art: Henry Reed discusses Cayce's suggestions to look at great works of art and listening to music as a couple of ways (and in my humble opinion creative and fun ideas) to connect your physical body with your higher self (pg. 141). I really enjoyed this suggestion because I already have a high appreciation for both art and music. 7) The Visionary Channel of the Imagination (pgs. 155-184) and Being Yourself: The Ultimate Form of Channeling (pgs. 293-308): The Visionary Channel of the Imagination contains helpful information of the role of imagination and creative visualization in connecting with your higher self (including good tips on how to do so). Being Yourself: The Ultimate Form of Channeling gives great information on how channeling can teach self-esteem and the importance of believing in yourself in order to become a more powerful channel. The author gave some persuasive information on how focused service can also help one connect even closer to their soul.
Overall, there is much more fantastic information that what I just listed here in this preview. This book is a must have if you are looking at a guide to connect with your higher self through various multi-dimensional/spiritual angles.

"A Guide to a Powerful Spirit", May 4, 2011
"The Power of Your Spirit" is an important book on making a connection with your higher self (spirit). As Sonia mentions, this connection helps and nourishes regardless of outside circumstances. "The Power of Your Spirit" is written with the essence of an abundance of love, and is an empowering guide that helps increase the ability to be graceful, creative, and inspired even when events turn out differently than expected. I also enjoyed reading this book because it serves as a gentle reminder on why it is essential and healing for the soul to make a connection with the higher self (spirit daily). I am glad to have a book like this to remind me of the importance of connecting with your own spirit. I have noticed in my own life that my own intuition and creativity have been increasing more and more each day as a result of my conscious intent to connect with my spirit (higher self, soul). The following is some of the helpful details that Sonia Choquette includes in "The Power of Your Spirit"
1) An innovative "Asking the Questions" journal idea that is on page 131. 2) There are tips for keeping your spirit burning strong (such as physical movement and meditation)(pg. 144) 3) There are certain questions to ask to assist in making the shift of increasing a personal connection with the spirit energy (higher self, soul) that is on page 89.
This book is a definite guide to add to a personal library for anyone who is aware and/or open to connecting their higher self (spirit, soul) and would like to have a guide to read and appy the ideas contained within for increasing a connection to the spirit (higher self, soul).

"Sexy Political Book", May 4, 2011
"One Nation Under Sex" by Larry Flynt and David Eisenbach, PH.D. is a very compelling and fantastic book. I was fortunate to actually see them in person (and get their signatures) just this past Thursday because they were doing a book signing in downtown D.C. at one of the bookstores. There were many people in attendance, and I remember how both Larry and David wanted to ensure that they shared some of the information that was in the book. I am glad that they took the time to do this because it added more dimension and understanding of some of the messages that they were communicating through the book. I am about to list a combination of what is in the book, and what was discussed during their appearance. Please understand that I am a happily married heterosexual woman who is tolerant and open-minded to all backgrounds and sexual orientations. I had to share this because my thoughts on what is in this book may potentially be shocking to some, but easy to understand with a preface of my background. The following are some juicy tidbits that were discussed at the book signing appearance of Larry Flynt and David Eisenbach PH.D.: Abraham Lincoln's intimate relationship with a handsome slave owner The theme of the book is to get the message across that presidents are human, and many of the best presidents have had healthy sexual appetites. The Roosevelt's had a complex love affair that included other people. Harding, Wilson, and Kennedy were some of the wildest presidents. J Edgar Hoover (a well-known FBI director) denied Mafia's existence. The Mafia had possible photographic evidence of Hoover's and Clyde Tolson's sexual relationship. This was a big deal because the book cites certain instances where J Edgar Hoover took a no-holds barred approach with the sex lives of other powerful politicians.
The following is some of the captivating information that is contained in "One Nation Under Sex" that is tied into what was mentioned at the speaking appearance and is strongly tied into history:
1)Benjamin Franklin was in his 70's when he was sent to help America win French support for George Washington's army. Benjamin Franklin was selected as ambassador to France because he had a reputation as a ladie's man (pages 5-36). 2) During the time he was in office from 1857 to 1861, President James Buchanan encouraged proslavery forces in the lead-up to the Civil War, and he chose to allow Southern states to secede towards the end of his term (pg. 50). James, the only known bachelor president, fell in love with Alabama politician William Rufus King (pg. 50). I admit that I found their union to be that of two soulmates because they stayed together for 32 years, until William died in 1853 (pgs. 50-51) However, I do agree with the authors (Larry and David) that President James Buchanan's relationship with William King (who was a slaveowner) explained his refusal to stop the South from seceding, and why proslavery states had valuable time to gather their forces before Lincoln became president (pg 54) 3) Lincoln's relationship with a handsome 23 year old, his wife Mary Todd, and a 44-year old Captain shaped his personality in becoming the Great Emancipator, which is common knowledge that Abraham Lincoln is credited with helping to end slavery (pgs. 37-63) 4) Nancy Cook and Marion Dickerman was a lesbian couple that helped transform Eleanor Roosevelt into a political powerhouse (pgs. 113-114) Nancy and Marion are credited with being strong influences to why Eleanor Roosevelt became a powerful crusader for women's suffrage and the equal rights amendment (pg. 116) 5)One of the ways that Joe Mccarthy extended his political career was by targeting innocent individuals that may have just been only living outside of the society sexual norms (pg. 149)
There is much more fascinating information contained in this book, and all types of relationships are covered (heterosexual, lesbian, homosexual, etc.) I admire Larry Flynt and David Eisenbach, PH.D. for having the courage to write this fantastic book, because "One Nation Under Sex" is a very entertaining read that definitely held my interest throughout. I say to definitely obtain this book if you love reading political books with themes of sex and power.

"Red Hot", May 4, 2011
I am very lucky to have received this poster from my wonderful husband. He admitted to me that he knows the true reason why I want to see the "Thor" movie, and he felt that I would like this poster. I have to admit that he is correct, and that this poster is easy on the eyes because of the attractive person pictured. I titled it "Red Hot" because the red color scheme contrasts the picture and the background very well with the expressive and passionate facial expression of the handsome actor pictured. I would advise to get this poster if you are interested in seeing the "Thor" movie and/or you would like a poster of Chris Hemsworth.

Quality Hits from Conway Twitty, May 4, 2011
I admit that the main reason why I gave listening to this compilation a chance is because Conway Twitty was one of my foster mother's favorite country artists when she was still alive. Mother's Day is coming up, and listening to this compilation is another therapeutic collection for me to listen to when I prefer to her memory in a more joyful way (through my love of music). I am very glad that I took a chance on this collection. All of the songs in this compilation are worth listening to, and now I can understand even more why my foster mother enjoyed listening to Conway Twitty. Her name was Linda, and I find it very amusing that one of his songs (which is great by the way) is "Linda On My Mind". The following are some of my other personal favorite songs from this compilation:
1)"Hello Darlin" 2)"I'd Just Love to Lay You Down" 3)"Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man"
This greatest hits compilation by Conway Twitty is recommended to purchase if you are open to listening to 80's country music.

Awakened Imagination Power, April 25, 2011
I too agree that "Awakened Imagination" by Neville Goddard is a great book. As a matter of fact, I even gave a different version of this book as a college graduation gift to one of my friends that recently completed her bachelor's degree (she has the green Devorss Company Publications version that is 94 pages). She told me that she liked the book very much because the information given on using your imagination gave her some good insights. The following is some of the very interesting and helpful information contained in this guide:
1) The following informational gems are both on page 30: All happiness depends on the active voluntary use of imagination to construct and inwardly affirm that we are what we want to be. We match ourself to our ideals by constantly remembering our aim and identifying ourselves with it. 2) This other passage on page 35 also personally resonated with me: If we assemble the right sequence and experience it in imagination until it has the tone of reality, then we consciously create circumstances. This inner procession is the activity of imagination that must be consciously directed.
There are many more great passages listed in "Awakened Imagination". I had a strong feeling to share a glimpse of what is available so that everyone reading this can have a basic foundation of what to expect. The happiness passage from page 30 helped me to really start to realize what it takes to experience true happiness. Neville Goddard's writings are very powerful and insightful, and would be beneficial for anyone who is open-minded to reading his books. I would say to definitely check out "Awakened Imagination" and/or any of Neville Goddard's other books if you are aware of how imagination can affect reality, and you intend to do something about it.

Fun and Uplifting 80's Music, April 25, 2011
"I Want My 80's" is a great box selection of three cds that contain great musical hits from throughout the decade of the 80's. Disc one is fine to listen to, but I enjoy listening to disc two and three even more because of the fact that they contain more of the songs that I enjoy. However, I do understand that some individuals reading this may enjoy disc one the most (depending on personal musical tests). My favorite song from disc One is "Heat of the Moment" by Asia. My favorite songs from disc two are: "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics and "Take On Me" by A-Ha. My favorite songs from disc three are:"Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears For Fears, "Sledgehammer" by Peter Gabriel, "Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer, and "Lady In Red" by Chris De Burgh. My overall favorite song in this collection is "Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer. "I Want My 80's" collection has a diverse variety of classic music hits, and is worth obtaining if you enjoy listening to songs from the 80's.

Ultimate Country Fun, April 25, 2011
"Ultimate Country Party" is a great compilation of some of the best country music from the 1990's. Listening to this compilation is therapeutic for me because it has many of the songs that my foster mother enjoyed when she was alive (she passed away in 2002, and I do miss her). She loved country music, and many of these songs played on the radio whenever she tuned into the country music stations. There is a wide selection of good songs to appeal to different moods such as "Daddy's Money" by Richochet and "She Lays it All On the Line" by George Strait for upbeat music. My favorite song in this compilation is "How Your Love Makes Me Feel" by Diamond Rio. This is a good music collection to get if you are open-minded in listening to high-quality country music from the 1990s.

"Increases Your Personal Power", April 17, 2011
"Personal Power Through Awareness" is a very important book on tapping into the power from within yourself, and projecting it in a joyful and transformative manner. These are some of the informative topics that are covered in this book:
1) Why it is important to love and accept yourself as you are right now, not who you will be or should be (pg. 51): I enjoy that this book covers details on why loving yourself as you are right now is essential in connecting to the gateway of your personal power. I feel lucky to have found this passage at the right time because it serves as a healing reminder to always see the unlimited potential, all the positives, and beauty about myself regardless of what external conditions may dictate. This passage can also benefit many others from various walks of life and backgrounds. 2)The message to See everyone as expanding and growing, and you will see yourself that way also (pg. 61): There are details included on how to evolve images within yourself, and the importance of broadcasting positive pictures to others. 3)If you ask for guidance, trust the messages that come into your mind (pg. 62): This was very important for me to be aware of (another healing message to come at the right time). I say this because I am lucky to receive messages whenever I ask for them, and being reminded to trust the messages is very important to me to be reminded about(in addition to the information transmitted from the book on why it is vital to trust the messages). Many others who read pg. 61 are also going to be able to relate to this message. 4)Telepathy chapter (pgs. 161-183): Pg. 162 lists why it is vital to be aware of the thoughtforms in your community, and how you pick up the messages of your community. This basically implies that where you live can strongly influence your own personal thoughtforms. I am lucky to admit that I have enjoyed the privilege of living in different places, and it is now crystal clear to me why I have sensed my own thoughtforms shift depending on where I live. I intuitively sensed this for the longest time, but the informative passage of the community thoughtforms (on page 162) definitely confirms it for me (this also makes me realize that I have some more careful thinking to do around some personal choices that I intend to make for the short and long-term). 5) Receiving Guidance from the Higher Realms (pgs. 184-197) There is very fascinating information on how true healing involves compassion and love for yourself and others. I also enjoy that essential details are listed around the concept (pg. 186) that All you need to do to receive guidance is to ask for it and then listen. There is also powerful information on pgs. 189 and 192. Page 189 has the following interesting information on that lists: The mind has 40,000 to 50,000 thoughts a day. When 1,000 to 2,000 of those daily thoughts are directed towards a goal, it will come rapidly. Page 192 lists this powerful concept: Writing down your goals brings them to you faster. Yes, I do understand that there are many that are aware of what is listed on page 192. However, I am certain that there are those reading this who agree with me that page 192 lists a powerful reminder to always keep in mind.
Overall, "Personal Power through Awareness" by Sanaya Roman is a great book to get for tips on how to increase your own personal power, increase your awareness, and connect to higher energies in all areas of your life.

The Magic of Waverly Place, April 16, 2011
The Wizards of Wavely, Vol. 2: Supernaturally Stylin' is a very good series. All the actors do a great job of playing a loving family who are undercover wizards striving to create the happiest and most productive life for themselves. The plots to the episodes are well-developed, and it is very hilarious to see the characters of Alex Russo (played by Selena Gomez), Justin Russo (played by David Henrie), Max Russo (played by Jake T. Austin) use their magical abilities to get themselves out of situations that turn out more comedic than what they may have initially planned for. David DeLuise and Maria Barrera play their parents (Theresa and Jerry Russo). Jennifer Stone plays the best friend of Alex Russo (the fashion dynamo Harper Finkle). The episodes total out to 90 minutes. They were all so good to watch, that I only wish that there was more episodes added. My favorite episode was the final one where Alex, Harper, and her two brothers went on an adventure involving her magical journal (Alex's). One of the popular girls at Alex's school somehow found a way to get into Alex's journal (in the similiar spirt as the video to "Take On Me" by AHA). Alex and her brothers work together to get into the journal to try to stop the one popular female who managed to get inside her "magic journal". The "magic journal" contains many of Alex's secrets, and drawings that reveal alot about her. The person that is trying to obtain information from Alex's journal is trying to gather it to reveal her secrets to the whole school. The positive message of the "magic journal" episode is to be proud of who you are. I also found it interesting that the character of Alex Russo mentions in this episode what type of prom that she would like to attend. I say this only because I watched this dvd for the first time less than three hours ago (this dvd is from 2009). In addition, earlier in the evening I saw an episode (that was made in 2011) on the Disney Channel about Alex attending the prom that I saw before I even viewed the 2009 dvd, and saw the closing 2009 episode (on dvd) where the prom is mentioned. "The Wizards of Waverly" Place is such a unique and creative show on Disney (involving supernatural themes with magical and multidimensional characters) that it would be nice if more Disney shows were created similiar to the fashion of "The Wizards of Waverly". I highly recommend this dvd if you are into watching uplifting television that can be viewed by anyone, and that has magical and supernatural themes to it.

"Celestial Secrets of Success", April 16, 2011
"Secrets of Success" by Sandra Anne Taylor and Sharon Klinger is a very compelling and helpful book. The "Secrets of Success" is a very valuable guide that gives information on how to combine the law of attraction, and a connection to the higher forces of the universe. This book is important if you are aware and/or believe in the concept of your higher self (and heavenly spiritual helpers). I say this because "Secrets of Success" gives some great information on how to connect with your higher self and other spiritual helpers. The forward of the book is written by Dr. Candace Pert (her website lists that she received her Ph.D. in pharmacology from John Hopkins University). I found it informative the way she took the time to write how her background ties into what is about to be covered. The way that she mentions her work with Sandy at the beginning really shows concern and intensity in making sure that Sandy's ideas and her work harmoniously blended for effectively getting the message across for "The Science and Spirit of Real Prosperity". The "Secrets of Success" book lists some of the following excellent information:
1) Emotional Recovery (pg. 95): There are some great tips listed on how to honor original emotions around certain life events in order to smoothly shift into healthier, new feelings. 2) A Wealth of Relationships (pg. 108-112): This is a valuable section on what to consider in inviting in wealth in all areas of your life. What I also find enjoyable is that the concept of love is mentioned in this portion, and the reasons for embracing, giving, and receiving love in all types of relationships, and the reminder that love starts with the self. 3)Making New Connection (pg. 160): Vital information is given on higher guides and angels. In addition, the names of some of the angels, and helpful steps on how to prepare for contact with your higher guides and angels is included in this healing section. 4)Transcend Your Childhood Drama (pgs. 199-211): This informative section lists essential information on steps anyone can take to make peace with their childhood in order to more joyfully help in transforming their adult self. I really appreciate (and found it healing) how the authors mention in one of their steps is to accept the truth that it was never about you (pg. 202-203). All the steps listed are very helpful, but the steps that resonated the most with me are the steps of rewiring your mental direction, belief relief, and doing it now. 5) Affirmations (pgs. 241-242) and Focused Intentions (pgs. 244-245): There are fifty powerful and healing affirmations to choose from for incorporating them into all types of lifestyles. My current favorite two affirmations are: 1) I value my life and myself more and more each day. My second favorite affirmation from the listing currently is: I always take responsibility for my own happiness. I find many wonderful things to be happy about each day. The focused intentions (fifteen great ones to choose from) also resonated with me because I agree with the viewpoint of the authors that they are helpful in increasing your personal power. My favorite intention is #1 (on page 244) which is: I am learning to walk the path of peaceful pursuit. I always take joyous action towards my goals, all the while releasing attachment to the outcome. I create a happy life now and draw more and more happiness to me. 6) I also love the recommendation of keeping a journal (pg. 246). I say this because writing is very healing for me, and I have found that keeping a journal often helps me to be more aware of my feelings and intuition.
I can say with certainty that the "Secrets of Success" by Sandra Anne Taylor and Sharon A. Klinger is a recommended read for anyone who is open-minded to combining the law of attraction with spirit assistance.

The Powerful Way, April 12, 2011
"The Intuitive Way,": The Definitive Guide to Increasing Your Awareness" is a very helpful and engaging book on essential steps to take in increasing your intuition. The following are some great insights that the author Penney Peirce shares on how to being in tapping into your wisdom from within:
1) The benefits of active intuition (on page xxiii): Vital information is giving on some of the benefits of an active intuition such as exciting ones such as your creativity and imagination are going to increase. She also mentions how intuition helps with experiencing more grace, synchronicity, miracles, and good luck. I am told frequently in my life how lucky I am, and reading about the link between intuition and good luck in the book was a healing discovery. I say this because it made me even more aware of the mechanics behind how intuition and good luck is available to people from all walks of life. 2) Keep a Journal (page xxxiv): Exciting details are given on why it is good to keep an intuition diary, and suggestions on how to begin such an exploratory diary. 3) How Intuition Comes In (page 12): There are very vivid details given on the channels that your personal intuition makes its way to you. The exercise that goes along with it makes me think in a more expansive way on how I receive my messages, and helps me understand why I love music. 4) How Information Emerges (page 113): There is information listed on how information is processed through your brain, and ways to maximize this advantage when increasing intuition. 5) Harnessing Dreams and Imagination (pg. 123): Penney gives compelling reasons on why it is important to trust the power of your imagination. I like the story that she used to illustrate this with the musical dreams that one of her clients had. This resonated with me because my awareness spontaneously opened up on paying more attention to the musical dreams that I frequently have. 6) Obtaining Superconscious Guidance (page 149): There is writing on how to go within yourself for answers. The interesting and helpful information on how to improve your self-guidance is very empowering. She generously shares gems such as gleaning wisdom from dreams and working with your "spiritual council". 7) Applying Intuition in Everyday Life (page 169): There is some unique writings included on intuitive life skills involving matters such as how to achieve congruent communication. 8) The Ethics of Intuition (page 208): I found this extremely insightful and helpful that this section was put in there because the principles shared are ones that only bring harmony such as the example of the principle where she emphasizes to always ask permission to help others or to look into their private lives. There are other good principles that Penney also lists that must be honored in following the ethics of intuition.
I also am glad that Penney shared some common scenarios that can happen the moment that you set your intention to increase your intuition. The information contained in "The Intuitive Way" is very soul-nourishing book because it gives information on how to access and increase your intuition as well increasing your ability to believe in the answers that come from within your spirit. Overall, "The Intuitive Way" is a joyful book to get for anyone who intends to increase their intuition.

Rock Music Hits from The Offspring, April 9, 2011
The "Offspring Greatest Hits" is a great collection of the musical hits by this talented group that that many people have heard and enjoy. This compilation is a very strong 90's rock collection that are great musical tracks that cover various themes of life. My personal favorites on this collection are:
1) Self Esteem: This is a very edgy and highly charged song that is from their 1994 Smash Album, and it appears to be about someone who is conflicted about confronting their partner about how they really feel , but their self-esteem coupled with the feelings for their partner compel them to stay. 2)Gone Away: This song is from their 1997 Ixnay on the Hombre compilation. "Gone Away" appears to be about a person coming to terms with the ending and/or loss of someone that they cared very much about. 3) "I Want You Bad": This musical track is from their 2000 compilation titled "Conspiracy of One". "I Want You Bad" appears to be about someone admitting their attraction to another person, and directly describing some of the ways that they want them.
There are other well-known classics in this compilation as well such as "Gotta Get Away", "Pretty Fly For a White Guy", and "Come Out and Play". I strong endorse this greatest hits musical compilation by The Offspring for those who really like listening to 90's rock music.

Strong Nirvana Music Classics, April 9, 2011
This Nirvana Icon Cd is a great mix of Nirvana classics. I only wish that this compilation was longer because of the fact that there is only 11 of their musical hits contained on this track. The following is the listing of the songs and my personal rating (with a rating of five being the highest). Many others are going to rate these songs much different, and this is understandable because of the varying tastes:
1. You Know You're Right 5 out of 5 2. Smells like Teen Spirit 5 out of 5 3. Come As You Are 5 out of 5 4. Lithium 5 out of 5 5. In Bloom 5 out of 5 6. Heart-Shaped Box 5 out of 5 7. Pennyroyal Tea 4 out of 5 8. Rape Me 4 out of 5 9. Dumb 3 out of 5 10. About a Girl (Acoustic)3 out of 5 11. All Apologies (Acoustic) 5 out of 5
This collection is a must-have if you like listening to 90's rock music.

Music that Sets Your Spirit Free, April 9, 2011
"Free" by Kate Ryan is a fantastic Eurodance compilation that contains many upbeat musical tracks that you can play at a party and/or when you are craving something high-energy and uplifting. Kate Ryan sings about the themes of love and relationships in a very fun, free, and happy way. My personal favorites by Kate Ryan are:
1) I surrender: A catchy tune about her expressing how she is willing to release certain expectations and enjoy her lover.
2)Your Eyes: In this upbeat song, she sings about going after someone that she knows is a challenge, but is drawn towards maintaining her persistence.
3) Take Me Down: An exciting party type song where she sings about fighting the feelings of someone that she has an attraction towards, but how another part causes this attraction to stay on her mind regardless of what she does.
4) Free: This is a great musical track about just savoring life, and allowing your spirit to roam free.
This compilation of "Free" by Kate Ryan is excellent to have if you enjoy dance, pop, and/or trance music.

"Daring Bodytalk", April 9, 2011
"Bodytalk" by Robyn is a very exciting and catchy cd that has many high-energy songs that cover the various facets of relationships and having fun. What is great about this cd is that Robyn carefully put musical tracks that covered various facets of what can happen in life. For example, Robyn sings about keeping her guard up, and only revealing herself to the one special "nice" person in the edgy ballad that is "Indestructible". "Time Machine" appears to be about her coming to terms with her past and present in assisting her in becoming wiser. "We Dance to The Beat", "Dancehall Queen," and "Stars 4-Ever" appear to be about having fun and making the most of life. "Get Myself Together" is also a great song about striving to create more harmony, balance, and fullfillment in one's life. "Stars 4-Ever" really stood out for me, but all of her other songs on this compilation are very well-put together as well. Robyn creatively projects a strong and powerful spirit in many of her songs. It is my humble opinion that Robyn's Bodytalk cd symbolizes the creative musical growth that she has achieved since her 1990's musical days of "Do You Know (What it Takes)," and "Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect). Please understand that I do think positively of her two well known 90's songs, but this "Bodytalk" compilation showcases her talent even more. Robyn's "Bodytalk" compilation is very much recommended if you enjoy high-energy dance/pop music of a musician who projects much creativity and personal power.
