There are also other actresses and actors in this film that also contribute heavily to the film and the viewer gets introduced to both the parents as well as the kids that are grappling with whether to follow their parents. The kids also deal with themes of fitting in. I actually first heard this song around 2006/2007 when I was living in Florida and I naturally understood it to be a message to be more awake and less asleep when it comes to military and/or political matters. However, after researching info for a college project (around early 2010) about military conflicts between military forces from Russia and citizens in Afghanistan (during 1980’s) and how it tied into the 2000’s era of Afghanistan and U.S. military affairs leaves me wanting to avoid publicly saying more. However, obviously, regardless of your gender, it is obvious a person must proceed with caution (as well as making for sure that the person mutually romantically likes you back) before approaching them in even a remotely way similar to the lyrics mentioned in this song. Nonetheless, That’s My Kind of Night by Luke Bryan is a riveting song because of the intriguing music and guitars that go with the lyrics in the song. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful  Discovered Through An iheartradio ad, January 9, 2016 This review is from: Growing Up Hip Hop Season 1 (Amazon Video) Growing Up Hip Hop Season 1 Episode 1 features Angela Simmons (daughter of Rev Run Simmons and niece of Russell Simmons), Romeo Miller (Son of Master P), Kristinia DeBarge daughter of James DeBarge, Egypt Criss the daughter of Pepa from Salt n Pepa, TJ Mizell (son of late Run DMC rapper DJ Jam Master Jay, Damon Dash (son of Damon Dash)(sourced from Wetv website). Anyhow, there are some scary and dramatic moments in the series such as when Angela Simmons receives a “dirty” teddybear as a gift (some crazed fan actually sent her a teddybear that looked like it was actually rolled in some outside dirt and leaves and then thrown in a box). Angela Simmons father Rev Run is understandably concerned when he hears about the incident and advises her to make sure she hires security when she hosts one of her upcoming events. There is also the scene where Kristinia DeBarge mentions her interest in meeting her father as her uncle (El Debarge) does sympathize and comforts her the best he can and tells her what he honestly thinks of the idea. Fortunately, Kristinia DeBarge is also able to talk to one of aunts and mother about the way she is feeling. This is a marvelous indie rock song but the type of relationship that this song alludes to (from what I read in the Miike Snow fan youtube comments) is a union where the man is with a highly attractive and/or desirable woman who is the object of attention from other people and there is probably some touchy insecurity there. Fortunately, my husband and I have a close and strong marriage where we can easily tell each other many things (i.e. best friends as well as spouses). However, here is the type of relationship I would picture that Miike Snow is referring to in Genghis Khan; As an aspiring scriptwriter living in the Washington D.C. area I could easily imagine the “Genghis Khan” scenario referring to an attractive man who is also financially successful in his professional life and also rich in his social life. He meets his match in a beautiful woman who is also financially thriving in her professional life as well as her social life and they enter a passionate and exciting union (whether that is an unmarried or married relationship). Their union is fine until other men come out of the woodwork (some also extremely handsome themselves) that are either his woman’s friends, simply romantic rivals that throw themselves at her, and/or they are somehow connected to her professional and/or social life (i.e. maybe one of the romantic rivals is a handsome male coworker and/or connected to one her female friends and/or even the man himself who is feeling Gengis Khanish).
