Nation Of Wealth, March 27, 2012
"Richistan" by Robert Frank contains some fascinating stories of various self-made millionaires. "Richistan" is packed with both inspirational and informative content. The following is some of the interesting details woven in this tome: Page Seven: The distinctions that are made between "Lower Richistan", "Middle Richistan", and "Upper Richistan." Chapter One: Butler Boot Camp (Pages Thirteen To Thirty-Five): Fascinating details are discussed around the "Butler Bootcamps" opening up across the U.S. A high number of these jobs are being filled by women. Another fascinating detail: A butler can start out making anywhere from $80,000 to $120,000 due to a shortage of qualified hires to meet the demand. Chapter Eleven: Aristokids (Pages Two-Hundred and Nineteen To Two-Hundred and Fifty) Information is discussed on "bootcamps" that teach wealthy children how to inherit and/or handle the riches made by their parents. "Richistan" by Robert Frank is most likely to be enjoyed by those who are curious to know about self-made millionaires.

"MDNA Of Fun", March 27, 2012
"MDNA" by Madonna is a phenomenal assembly of energetic and catchy beats. She creatively dabbles in various genres and touches on happy themes of life through hits such as "Masterpiece." There is something for everyone on this cd and even Madonna fans are obviously going to differ on what they like most on "MDNA". This is because songs such as "Turn Up The Radio," "B-Day Song", "Some Girls", "Give Me All Your Luvin", and "Girl Gone Wild" experiment with varied life themes. However, my two current favorites are "Superstar" and "I Don't Give A" (featuring Nicki Minaj). "Superstar" appears to be a song about seeing what is brilliant in someone. "I Don't Give A" (featuring Nicki Minaj) appears to send a powerful message of self-confidently taking control of one's destiny. "MDNA" by Madonna is great for Madonna fans and/or anyone who enjoys music collections that span the pop, dance, and electronica genres.

Action Time, March 14, 2012
"Adventure Time: It Came From the Nightosphere" is an entertaining collection of sixteen episodes that really do have a strong "night theme". The content of all sixteen episodes is high-quality and the time goes by fast (each of the brief episodes are original and contain quirky plots). The two episodes that I enjoyed the most were "Rainy Day Daydream" and "Slumber Party Picnic." The only reason why I rank this dvd four stars is because I also share the sentiment that it would be beneficial to release full season collections. "Adventure Time: It Came From the Nightosphere" is recommended for anyone who enjoys watching Adventure Time and/or those who enjoy animated action cartoons.

Daring Tails, February 24, 2012
"Red Tails" is a heartwarming movie about the Tuskegee Airman. There is also a touching love story thrown in for good measure. All the actors gave strong performances in forming an entertaining and dramatic portrayal of the Tuskegee Airman. However, my two favorite character depictions in "Red Tails" involved the acting of Terrence Howard as Col. A.J Bullard and Ne-Yo as "Smoky." Terrence Howard cleverly plays a military leader who is tested with making careful decisions under strict circumstances. Ne-Yo creates a happy persona of someone who cautiously juggles the demands of war with having an optimistic spirit. "Red Tails" is an enjoyable movie for the many who like films inspired by true stories.

Red River Hits, February 24, 2012
"Red River Blue" by Blake Shelton contains an assembly of uplifting songs. I was initially introduced to him through the cheerful "Honey Bee" song from "Now 39". Naturally, getting this cd was the next step and worth it. The following are a few of the musical tracks that caught my attention: God Gave Me You: I admit that I'm not a religious person, but this song caught my attention because of its implied symbol of enduring love. "God Gave Me You" is a beautiful message of a romantic partner standing by someone through both happy and challenging times. The video to this song is also deeply touching because of the appearance of his wife (Miranda Lambert). One can see the enormous love that they have between each other through this video. Ready To Roll: "Ready to Roll" is a catchy song about enjoying a person's company by just simply hanging out with them over the weekend. Over: "Over" is a heartfelt song about wanting to be in someone's life to bring them joy. "Red River Blue" by Blake Shelton is best for those who enjoy contemporary country music.

2012-2032 Predictions Book, February 12, 2012
"Transition To The Golden Age" in 2032 by Diana Cooper is an unconventional book that contains worldwide forecasts of each country (USA, Europe, Canada, Asia etc). The one unique feature that stood out to me was that she actually took time to write forecasts for each state within the USA. The District of Columbia is omitted for obvious reasons, but Diana Cooper does cover the forecasts for both Virginia and Maryland. I also found her analysis on the current president rather interesting. "Transition To the Golden Age" in 2032 is best for those who have an open mind in reading a psychic's perspective on what is currently set into motion across the globe.

Celestial Voyage, February 12, 2012
"Le Voyage Dans Le Dune" by Air is a great cd that features a medley of songs running the gamut of electronica and chillout musical genres. All of these songs evoke a futuristic vibe (it is as if they can be used in any upcoming science fiction/fantasy and/or family film). "Astronomic" and "Cosmic Trip" are two of the fun musical tracks that nourish my spirit. The dvd comes with an early 1900's movie called "A Trip To The Moon." It was for avant-garde for made in 1902. This is because the rocketship concept was imaginatively flirted with before becoming an eventual reality many years later. The characters involved six men that appeared to be either scientists and/or teachers. "Le Voyage Dans Le Dune" by Air is best for those who enjoy unique electronica/chillout music genre hyrbrids.

Romantically Stirring Music, February 9, 2012
"Secret Love 3" is a balanced cd selection of music from the jazz and electronica music genres. This collection of 18 songs contain mini-musical stories of coping with happiness, romance, and/or challenges associated with feeling love. "Secret Love 3" is actually safe to play around both conservative-minded and free-spirited individuals (even with the "Secret Love" title). This is because it is easy to visualize the theme of these songs being expressed through either a PG-13 and/or an R rated film. The two songs that I feel are a happiness balm: "Everybody Loves The Sunshine" by Soul Village and "How Beautiful" by Donna Regina. "Secret Love 3" is a collection for those who crave music that nourishes the spirit.

"Best of Chillout Hits" contain a strong calculated balance of songs from the dance, electronica, and pop music genres. In addition, there are twelve songs on each of the two cds (double disc edition). There is something for everyone on this cd but "Sleep"(Solar Stone's Chilled Out Remix) by Conjure One and "When The Rush Comes" (Gabriel & Dresden Chillout Mix)by Motorcyle resonate with me. "Best of Chillout Hits" is a great compilation for those who crave music that is an innovative blend of happy and peaceful chillout music.

Soothing and Stimulating Music, February 9, 2012
"The Best of Chillout: Past and Present" contain a great mix of hits that are a medley of pop and electronica. I had previously heard a few of these songs through an electronica radio station. My favorite song on this collection has to be "Satellite" by BT. There are also classics such as "Teardrop" by Massive Attack featured on this unique cd. "The Best of Chillout: Past and Present" is best for those who love a hybrid of pop and/or electronica music

Golden Touch of Prosperity, February 6, 2012
"A.P. Gianini: The Man With The Midas Touch" is an inspiring book about a man who prospered in many of his projects. Mr. Gianini is credited to be one of the founders of what is now Bank of America. The following is a sampling of Mr. Gianini's colorful history: Page 8: A.P. is inspired on his multiple ideas for making money. He starts to figure ways for making this a reality. Pages 77-81: Mr. Gianini takes certain steps in increasing his chances of being accepted into the ultra-exclusive Pacific Union Club. Pages 96-97: Mr. Gianini helped Walt Disney to secure financial funding for "Little Snow White." "A.P. Gianini: The Man With The Midas Touch" is best for those who enjoy reading "rags to riches" stories.

Living Lavishly, January 30, 2012
"Living In Luxury" by Thames & Hudson highlights the diverse real-estate properties owned by some of the world's richest people. I do confess that this book of gorgeous photos can obviously be for those who love to dream and imagine what its like to visit any of these places. There are a great number of pictures from around the world to appeal to many reading audiences. "Brockett Hall" in Hertfordshire, England is one of my favorite visual images representing affluence. "Living in Luxury" is highly recommended for the many who love to experience an inside look at multiple abodes owned by the wealthiest men and women.

Romantic Country, January 30, 2012
"Now Country Ballads" is a well-assembled medley of love-tinged country songs. "Don't You Wanna Stay" is a strong heartfelt collaboration of Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson. There are also other quality musical gems such as "Come A Little Closer" by Dierks Bentley and "I Could Not Ask For More" by Sara Evans. I admit that my personal favorite of "Now Country Ballads" is "Forever And Always" by Shania Twain. "Now Country Ballads" is recommended for the many who enjoy country music with the undertones of romance.

Classic Roxette Tunes, January 30, 2012
"Roxette Hits" is a great compilation of songs ranging from the creatively dramatic such as "Fading Like a Flower" and the highly upbeat in the form of "Joyride." I enjoy this collection because many of the tunes are performed with intense emotion. My overall favorite musical tune has to be "Listen To Your Heart." The dance group DHT remade "Listen To Your Heart" with stunning results in 2005. However, it was Roxette who originally put "Listen To Your Heart" on the musical map with the effect of brilliance. "Roxette Hits" is best for anyone that enjoys happy pop music from the 80's/90's era.

Relaxing Aural Session, January 21, 2012
"The Chilled House Session" contains a brilliant collection of fifty-four music tracks on three cds. Many of the songs are a direct fusion of electronic, house, chillout, and trance elements. All three cds contain a wide mix of artists that span multiple music categories. Naturally, some songs and/or discs are going to appeal to some more than others. I would have to say disc three contains the most songs that are uplifting to me. "Only This Moment" by Royksopp, "Friendly Fires" by Paris, "Kilometer" by Sebastien Tellier, and "Happy" by Max Sedgley are among some of my favorite tracks in this collection. "The Chilled House Session" is ideal for the enjoyment of ambient chillout/electronic music that evokes both blissful and calm feelings.

"Gregorian Chillout" is best for those who enjoy music melodies with an ethereal quality.

Coming To Terms With the Cycles of Life, January 21, 2012
"I Will Fear No Evil" by Robert Heinlen is a dramatically woven story of the potential pros and cons of performing brain transplants. Johann Smith, the main character, is a man who is extremely wealthy but only has a limited time left to live on earth. In the story Mr. Smith mentions that he constantly heard the saying "You Can't Take It With You." He was determined to get around that phrase by undergoing a brain transplant with a willing and healthy body between 20-40 years old. He ends up unexpectedly having a brain transplant with Eunice Branca. Mr. Smith is very familiar with her because she was his favorite secretary. The only reason why I gave this story only three stars is due to the fact that I was expecting more spontaneous action plot elements similar to what are seen in the Star Trek and Star Wars movies. This book is more for those who are looking for a book that is centered around the conversation dialogue of characters describing their feelings on life and what they are going to do.

Power of Music, January 14, 2012
"Your Playlist Can Change Your Life" by Galina Mindlin, Don Durousseau, and Joseph Cardillo is a fun book that contains information on how music can be used as a force of healing. It was great that they all shared how to use musical playlists as instruments towards boosting happiness. The following is some of the engaging information shared in this book:
Page 49: Link between music, exercise, and improved well-being.
Pages 66-67: Ideas are shared on examples of playlists to create (such as the one for boosting a sense of calm).
Page 141: It is explained why music increases memory storage in the brain.
Pages 184-195: There is data given on combining music with a creative life.
"Your Playlist Can Change Your Life" is a book that is best for the many who enjoy reading about ideas for using music towards greater joy.

Happy Noise, January 14, 2012
"Joyful Noise" is a heartwarming movie that underscores the message of various people having more in common than what originally thought. Dolly Parton and Queen Latifah magnificently play two women(G.G. Sparrow and Vi Rose Hill) who start out as rivals for leadership in their church choir. However, they unexpectedly become friends as events unfold to bring out their shared goal (helping their congregation win a national competition). For example, Vi Rose Hill has a daughter by the name of Olivia Hill (played by Keke Palmer) and G.G. Sparrow has a grandson by the name of Randy Garrity (played by Jeremy Jordan). Olivia Hill and Randy Hill fall in love with each other. Naturally, Vi Rose Hill and G.G. Sparrow are forced to act more civil towards each other just with this event, in addition to other circumstances that pop up. The movie is also supported well by other various characters that help these two women in their quest for a church choir that can qualify to win the nationals. "Joyful Noise" is recommended for the many who enjoy uplifting movies.

Musical Imagination, January 14, 2012
"Imaginaerum" by Nightwish is a very captivating cd with emotionally and spiritually charged lyrics of the Goth metal music genre. One of the underlying themes weaved in this cd appears to be that of carving more meaning out of life. For me, two of my favorite songs that embody that are "Rest and Calm" and "Turn LooseThe Mermaids." "Rest and Calm" seems to have a dramatic and positive message of rebirth and starting over new in life. "Turn Loose The Mermaids" contains lyrics of forging journeys in life. "Imaginaerum" by Nightwish is best for the many who enjoy soul nourishing music.

Femme Musical Force, January 14, 2012
"Britney Spears Live: The Femme Fatale Tour" is a strong concert dvd that showcases the musical hits from the "Circus" and "The Femme Fatale" cd collections. I attended one of her fun concerts over five months ago, and was curious to see how this concert dvd would compare. She gave a great live performance, and watching this version exceeded my expectations of what I had set. The following are some of the various interesting moments of this dvd:
If U Seek Amy: The dancers were cleverly simulating the paparrazi. Britney Spears was wearing a Marilyn Monroesque skirt during the performance.
Gimme More: There was a unique Egyptian theme and she was wearing gold to keep with the theme (a golden two-piece).
Drop Dead Gorgeous: The dancers are seen positioning themselves in gold frames, and singer Sabi makes a guest appearance. Sabi is also known for appearing with Cobra Starship in their music video of "You Make Me Feel" (including lending her vocals to "You Make Me Feel")
I Wanna Go: There is a good group sequence of the dancers carefully timing their moves with Britney Spears.
Nicki Minaj appears towards the end of the concert.
There is also a remixed cd with this edition, but I admit to liking the concert dvd portion more. However, I only wish that at least one to two bonuses were included. "Britney Spears Live: The Femme Fatale Tour" is recommended for anyone who enjoys her songs from the" Femme Fatale collection" and/or liked any live concerts from the "Femme Fatale" tour.

Innovative Elements, January 14, 2012
The dvd of Beyonce: Live At Roseland Elements of 4 shows a concert full of engaging performances. In addition both dvds have bonus performances. Beyonce projects forth intense energy for the selected musical tracks. She starts the event out with cleverly weaving the origins of her musical career into the various songs. My two favorite parts of this concert were tied into the renditions of "Crazy In Love" and "Love On Top". The scene that also pulled at my heartstrings was where she was shown hugging a young fan during "Irreplaceable". He is one of her biggest fans and appeared to be younger than 13. Things became even more sentimental and touching when Beyonce gently suggested that he sing "Irreplaceable". I have to say that this scene made me like her even more because it was obvious that he (the young fan) felt uplifted by her encouragement. What also makes the purchase worth it is that the second dvd contains six great music videos. It is a tie between the music videos that I enjoyed the most: "Love On Top" and "Dance For You." Beyonce: Live At Roseland: Elements of 4 is best for anyone that enjoyed any of her music videos and/or songs from the "4" collection.
