5.0 out of 5 stars A Serious Rock Song?June 21, 2016
This review is from: The Sound Of Silence (MP3 Music)
This song Sound of Silence by Disturbed has a very serious somber tone to it but the singing helps to also turn it into a meaningful type of song. For some reason, this song also has me curious to eventually check out a previous version of this song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Strong GuitarsJune 21, 2016
This review is from: Black Betty (MP3 Music)
I admit that I first heard Black Betty by Ram Jam accidently over 6 years ago when it came on one of my alarm clock radios when my husband and I were still living in Florida. I say over six years because I had first heard this song either when my husband and I were living in Mayport Naval Base Florida or Orlando Florida. I have also heard a version by Tom Jones before on one of his greatest hits collection. Around 2015,I then heard it on iheartradio and this version of Black Betty by Ram Jam grew on me after hearing it enough times on my personalized favorites radio station especially because of the guitars and the well timed lyrics with the music. This song could best be described as hard rock/classic rock.

5.0 out of 5 stars Writing IdeasJune 12, 2016

I must preface this review by making it clear (but not to undermine paid reviewers/paid critics) that I’m an amateur reviewer but I have considered it a compliment in the past when I have been confused for a paid reviewer/writer/critic. With that said, this kindlebook of Writing Your Life Story: It’s All About You (Writing/Autobiography) by Patricia A Toth has caught my attention due to my interest in what it takes to be the best writer I can be and what it takes to write a memoir and what I sense would help me for other types of writing. Some of the subjects covered in this kindlebook; sorting through old photographs, pretending you’re a highly acclaimed journalist, asking yourself why you want to share your story (whether for fun, profit, to share with family), and more. There is even a section involving organizing your memories.

5.0 out of 5 stars Suspense And DramaJune 12, 2016
I recently had a dream where I was working a legal job in a car garage near my apartment for one of the characters (Schwimmers Tom Moran character) in the Feed the Beast Tv series and some positive/benevolent spiritual presence was close by trying to get my attention with some images. The dream stood out in my mind because it was nearby a restaurant built out of a house looking building near the apartment where my husband and I live. Naturally, this indirectly influenced me to check out the Feed The Beast television series. Season 1 of Feed the Beast tv series of episode one-Pilot Light and episode two Father of the Year feature David Schwimmer as Thomas Moran and Jim Sturgess as Dion Patras, two men who have been close friends through both good times and adverse times and are planning to open a restaurant in their neighborhood. Jim Sturgess is also trying to raise TJ (Elijah Jacob) as a single dad due to his wife Rie Moran (Christine Adams) passed away. Jim Sturgess also strives to do this while also trying to get along with his father Aidan Moran (John Doman). Pilar Herrera (Lorenzo Izzo) comes in as a positive influence to Thomas Moran but she unknowingly has her work cut out for her to due what she does not realize that she is getting into (technically both her and Thomas Moran).Dion Patras does care for his friend Thomas Moran deep down, but he feels forced to avoid (at least for now)admitting that what he is doing is also a literally do or die affair because of the ruthless nature of Patrick “the tooth fairy” who refuses to leave him alone in peace (and warns Dion Patras what will happen if he does not deliver what he wants). There are more actors/actresses and plot elements involved in this story but I want to avoid disclosing more for those who have yet to see the series and want to watch it.

With shame-free emotion, I admit that both my husband and I accepted my mother in law’s offer to get us food from Amazon prime pantry and this Kraft Velveeta Cheesy Skillets ( 3 qty of 11.6 ounce box)was one of the meals. The noodles, seasoning, the meat required, and the rest of the instructions were extremely easy to implement. The cheesy skillets dinner kit came out tasting good and cooked in a short time manner. This dinner kit came with a white Velveeta cheese sauce.

I admit that this book of Your Journey From Fired to Hired by Kathi Miller-Miller caught my attention for practical reasons. I admit that I purchased this book out of necessity after being forced out of my job six months ago as of today which is still too much for me to discuss in detail publicly in this review because it was also 13 days before Christmas (December 12, 2015). Fortunately, my marriage has grown stronger and the experience has helped me make up my mind what I want to do career-wise regardless of what any of my critics may say. The positives; Kathi Miller-Miller covers a chapter on unemployment, finding a job you love, finding available jobs, live recruiters etc. I was hoping this book had some ample pointers on how to tactfully answer any questions as to why you are no longer at the previous job (as free information online via articles is very scarce as to how to explain this). I wanted to rank this book higher, however, the only advice given if you were let go from your job is to just rehearse your answer in front of a trusted person and/or friend. I was hoping that various scenarios on how to explain being forced from a job would be addressed in addition to ways to tell where job openings are the most available for people who were forced out of their jobs. For instance, less than two weeks ago, an understanding/open-minded employer from outside the Washington D.C. area, was willing to give me a chance at a government job despite my employment history. However, my husband prefers me to avoid relocating for right now and so I must use both my logic and intuition to decide the best opportunities for me in this area. I am starting to get better responses to my resumes in my active job searching (for the Washington D.C. area) but I admit that I unintentionally came across as aggressive when I answered to a prospective interviewer on why I was no longer at my previous job. Additionally, the author does advise to try to get a professional reference from a previous job who basically will not slime you. However, information is not available for if the job seeker has but little choice (as ordered by their prospective interviewers) to include human resources for information (which could be problematic when human resources are technically bound to be loyal to the company andor if any of the human resource professionals may feel a loyalty to certain managers if a former employee had to file a complaint). However, this book might be better for someone who was laid off or fired from a more prestigious job that was not minimum wage (maybe for public relations specialists, military people, people working in the U.S. government, managers etc.).

I admit that I’m more than aware that I was possibly far from the target audience to purchase and see this kindlebook. I say this especially due to my most significant exposure (outside of high school and college) regarding U.S. presidents was a visit to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (around 8 years and one month ago)via a volunteer trip that was affiliated with one of the aircraft carriers I was stationed on during my time in the military (the USS Eisenhower). However, I’m glad that I discovered this kindlebook online. This kindlebook titled Five Presidents My Extraordinary Journey With Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, and Ford by Clint Hill and Lisa McCubbin captures moments such as when Hill had to quickly think on his feet when an unexpected death happened in the early days of his job, how where he grew up indirectly influenced his decision, and much more. For instance, Hill recalls a challenging moment when he shared exactly how the late former President Dwight Eisenhower reacted and felt after a meeting with former Soviet Leader Nikita Kruschev over the 1960 U-2 Incident.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative Marketing Career BookJune 5, 2016

I must make it clear that I’m an amateur writer on Amazon who is not trying to undermine paid writers but who writes to help keep from going idle and to allow myself to share/discuss what inspires and/or gets me thinking (yet I admit to finding it a compliment when I have been mistaken for a paid writer). This kindlebook Careers in Marketing: The New Insider Book to Traditional and Digital Marketing Careers by Eric Siebert contains details such as four of the main activities of marketers (such as the first one of customer and market insights). In part two Siebert generously shares some of the marketing careers available as well as the related titles. This is important because it gives ideas of other related career opportunities that may not be as apparent to an initial outsider. I also like that the sample a day in the life of are included (such as a day in the life of a product manager).

5.0 out of 5 stars 1890 Years Into The Future?June 5, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This kindlebook of Chronicles From The Future: The Amazing Story of Paul Amadeus Dienach by Paul Amadeus Dienach and Achilleas Sirigos caught my attention because of the premise of the book being about what the author experienced when he unexpectedly went into a year long coma and saw what a part of the earth may be like over two thousand years from now (3906 A.D.). First off, I am glad that this book was made available for public purchase and at an affordable price via both regular book purchase or kindle. A couple of the positives of the future-People would make more than enough money to live on for the rest of their lives after working for two years and get their service out of the way first thing when they are very young. The controversial and/or what may be considered dystopian by other people-please know that I have nothing against children or parents and I do not get the impression that either of the authors of Chronicles From The Future are anti-parent or anti-children but there is apparently a prediction written that the more Utopian society of the future would require limits on how many children a couple can have regardless of their wealth due to the overpopulation set to occur as a result of some families using reproduction as a tool for greater power (politically and economically speaking from what I deduce in the book). However, it appears to be written that there would not be a punishment for families who go over the limit of a child and apparently people are going to be screened to ensure they are qualified to become parents during this timeframe (though details are scarce on how this would happen). Another controversial issue that may stem from this book is what may happen after the 23rd century has to do with the racial makeup of some of the visitors that the author saw in the future (the women he saw visiting from Africa). I want to say more but my conscience is stopping me and as an American born woman who was adopted into a transracial family (my late adoptive mother was an American born Caucasian woman and my adoptive father is an American born Mexican and Aztec Indian male). I have younger siblings who are parents to Black American/African American children plus I have family members on both my biological and adopted side of the family who could be classified into the U.S. Census Category of Caucasian, Native American and/or Hispanic. I’m concerned about unintentionally writing something that may unintentionally hurt others now andor in the future and feel it better to leave it to others to write about the authors findings when he saw the female visitors from Africa. What also truthfully holds me back is that my Caucasian husband analyzed what I told him about what the author said and my spouse was not afraid to share that Dienach definitely sounds like a man of his time and what I write could be construed as hurtful no matter how I try to write it.

This kindlebook of Ogilvy on Advertising by David Ogilvy covers information such as the top of jobs in advertising and some of the people he hired into advertising. For instance, he recalls hiring a 40 year old copywriter who changed jobs eleven times. Creative directors, researchers, account executives, brand managers, directors, and copywriters are some of the jobs mentioned in his book. Ogilvy also mentioned about his job assignment where he advised Omega, a watch company in Switzerland, about their advertising (and of course much more is included in this kindlebook).

5.0 out of 5 stars Cooks From Various Walks Of LifeJune 5, 2016
Masterchef season 7 episode 1-I admit this past Friday night I was drawn to watch episode 11 of season 7 Masterchef titled Battle For A White Apron Pt. 1 on television after noticing that this season is going to feature chefs from various walks of life. For instance, the first battle has a teacher from Kentucky making steak and a parmesan crusted tomato and a mixologist from I think California also making his take on a steak and vegetable. Some other contestants; A digital marketer and a college student going head to head in a cupcake making contest, cooking battle of four firefighters battling it out for the two aprons, a marketing manager who has worked in fine dining engaged in a cooking battle with a 9 million dollar poker player (both have children) and much more.

I admit that I decided to watch Our Brand Is Crisis after seeing it featured at a Costco store this past Wednesday. Our Brand is Crisis stars Sandra Bullock, Billy Bob Thornton,Anthony Mackie,Zoe Karzan, Joaquim de Almeida (and other actors/actresses) in a movie about how public relations specialists played an influential role in a major election. Eerily, watching Our Brand Is Crisis had me wondering how the movie may have parallels in American society and the relation to media coverage. Watching Our Brand Is Crisis also helped give me unexpected perspective in the shadowy side of human nature when it comes to whether candidates address the economic concerns of people from the middle and lower socio-economic classes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unadulterated MadonnaJune 5, 2016
This Madonna Truth of Dare Documentary documentary was shot during moments of Madonna’s Blonde Ambition tour from the 1990s and her memorable performances such as with Live To Tell, Like A Prayer, Vogue, Causing A Commotion etc. Madonna is also candid in her biography on how her family life and the death of her mother at an early age greatly shaped her. There are also celebrity visits in the documentary and much more. This documentary definitely made me interested in wanting to get her upcoming cd The Party Is Right Here.

The author also covers Madonna’s appearance on American bandstand, her success with selling 21 million copies of Like A Virgin (listed to be certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America), a brilliant quote attributed to her where she admitted that as a child she truly felt that the world was hers (which helps explain her self-confidence through both her trials and tribulations to success).

This kindlebook of Writing Down Your Soul:How To Activate And Listen To the Extraordinary Voice Within by Janet Conner gives ideas on forging a stronger connection with the higher self/soul. The author shares her journey and how she began her deep soul writing journey with a notebook. She bravely bares her soul on some of the entries of her life by featuring some of what she has overcame (I say bravely because I admit that I probably would be guilty of covering up some of the harshest events that occurred in my life if I were in her shoes such as the brave situation where she describes the dynamics between her and her late ex-husband). Conner explains what is writing down your soul and the commitment difference between writing down your soul versus journaling, creating a schedule and a sacred writing space, and much more.

Yes, I understand that this Ever After High Draw, Dream, Create Sketchbook by Parragon Books is actually for children. However, one reason for my purchase of this sketchbook is b ecause as an aspiring author (who is keeping myself open to writing for both children and adult audiences) this Ever After High sketchbook helps provide me insight into what keeps children audiences interested in fairytales. For instance, there is a drawing activity where Cerise’s mom Red Red Riding Hood can be sketched in a picture with her mom. Another drawing exercise allows the finishing of a picture that assists in creating images of what it would be look for Madeleine Hatter to open her own Hat & Tea Shoppe (imagining as a writer how Madeleine Hatter may run her business). An additional art technique allows the C.A. Cupid, the daughter of Eros to design a banner that would help her to advertise her advice show at Ever After High; the Cupid Show (helps a writer imagine what scenarios C.A. Cupid would be asked about). For people not familiar with the Ever After High tv series, it can currently be viewed online (Netflix, Youtube etc.).

Please know that I do not dub myself a guru and I understand that there is still so much for me to know. Anyhow, I’m glad to have unexpectedly come across this kindlebook of Letters From Julia by William Thomas Stead because of the plethora of discussion presented as to why it is advantageous to focus a great deal on the soul/higher self while one is still alive on earth rather than waiting until one crosses over. It is also emphasized that a person must know that they are more than what they appear to be to others (it was healing for me to come across this understanding) and there was mention of the author seeming to receive communications about establish a spiritual bureau of sorts (from what I’m guessing dedicated to the afterlife studies?).

Some people who have enjoyed the Delirious movie may enjoy this kindlebook of Accidental Leigh (Literal Romance Diaries Book 1) by Melanie James because of the idea of a woman being able to effect the reality of herself and those around her with just the power of writing down what she imagines (the movie Delirious shows a similar premise with the author in the film being able to eventually shape circumstances around him with a certain typewriter). However, for the main character Leigh the magic of what she imagines through writing comes alive from an old desk that she acquires.

Letters From Heaven

3.0 out of 5 stars Letters from heavenJune 5, 2016
Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This kindlebook of Letters From Heaven; A Modern Revelation by Clarissa A. Sprague, Lee Allen Howard, and E.W. Sprague covers a spirit’s journey on how mediumship can play a significant role in a person’s quality of life in the afterlife and the “schools” that spirits joyously attend in the heavenly/celestial realms cover fascinating subjects of interest that she could not touch upon in the book. I also like the candid message that there is always something new to learn in the way of how the afterlife works. The only reason why I reluctantly give this kindlebook three stars instead of five stars is that I was hoping for some different information about the heavenly worlds that I might not have known about before. I admit that I have been heavily influenced by various authors in my afterlife studies and the three authors who have heavily influenced my perspectives on the afterlife are Jurgen Ziewe, Bruce Moen, and William Buhlman. There is not anything in this afterlife book that is different from what I have seen before and I do acknowledge that I still have so much to learn both in how to live while I’m alive and in afterlife studies. However, a beginner and/or a newbie to afterlife studies may find this book to bring them much joy.

This review is from: Surfing Heaven (Kindle Edition)
This kindlebook of Surfing Heaven: An Afterlife Adventure by Philip Cothran does start out a little dystopian because of where the main character of the story ends up in the beginning. Additionally, the authors take on an afterlife necessitates an open mind because he puts the characters in a situation that is not unlike what many people could describe as a purgatorial/limbo like experience. However, this kindle purchase was still worthwhile to me because it gives me an idea on ways I can approach some of my stories through what I plan to write.

5.0 out of 5 stars Book of OrganizationJune 5, 2016
I admit that I picked up this book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo after spotting it at a discounted sale price at Target. I was inspired to get it for a very practical reason as my apartment was overdue for some organizing and I have succeed in tackling, releasing, letting go, and organizing a great deal of paper and clothes. However, I’m going to have to give myself some time before implementing her tips on letting go of certain books only because I want to do it in a way to where I at least keep the books that I would be happy to have kept over the ones I let go of within 6 months or less from now. Pages 86-95 cover her views on which books to keep and let go of and I admit that I’m probably going to have to give myself at least 1-3 hours to decide which books to keep and let go due to the number of books I have. Additionally, I have to give careful thought to this because the books I’m fortunate to have help give me ideas on how to conduct my work as a writer. In terms of the photos section (pages 118-120) I have to decide what I would like to do with the large photos that I have that may not fit in a traditional photo album. On pages 153-154 Kondo explains why you want to empty your bag each day.

This review is from: I Ran (So Far Away) (MP3 Music)
From my exposure of VH1, I was in 7th grade when I first heard I Ran by A Flock of Seagulls. This catchy song has a hybrid of synth-pop and electro rock in the beat and appears to be a song about falling in love with someone who is different in some way from many people. I’m glad that this song is available to hear online (Amazon prime, youtube, Pandora, iheartradio etc.) because it is rarely played on local radio where my husband and I current reside.

Woman Woman by Awolnation drew me in to listening to this song more often after I unexpectedly heard it on iheartradio and most recently on the Amazon playlist that is titled Top Prime Songs Alternative & Indie. The music and lyrics are strong and appear to be a bright and uplifting tune about a woman in a romantic relationship who seems to be extremely close with the narrator of the musical story (song) which also appears to culminate in a romantic union (could be a marriage, long-term romantic partnership etc.) that has grown stronger through the trials and tribulations of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Selection With My Prime MembershipJune 5, 2016
This Deluxe Version of 7/27 by Fifth Harmony is a solid collection of dance/pop and dance/club-like type of songs with such songs as Work From Home, Write On Me, and more. I’m glad that I was able to catch this good collection of songs on Amazon Prime. From my perspective, 7/27 by Fifth Harmony is in the same artistic spirit as their Sledgehammer and Worth It songs. I must also reiterate that I’m an amateur writing of this review and other reviews that I have written so far - not to undermine paid writers but to emphasize that my writing comes from cheerful intensity (though I admit to have considered it a compliment when others have confused me for a paid writer before).

5.0 out of 5 stars Coyote Ugly Music Soundtrack Sequel?June 5, 2016
This feature of More Music From Coyote Ugly caught my attention both because I have previously purchased and listened to the first Coyote Ugly soundtrack back on April 7, 2007 and the diverse selection of songs interested me. There are songs that I remember first hearing in my teenage years; such as Rebel Yell by Billy Idol, Battle Flag (Lo-Fidelity All Stars Remix) by Pigeonhead, It Takes Two by Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock and of course the tunes due to hearing after the movie came out: Can’t Fight The Moonlight (Graham Stack Radio Edit) and But I Do Love You (Almighty Radio Edit) by Leann Rimes. This selection is also perfect if you listen to various kinds of music because of pop/dance, alternative rock, electronic, swing style pop, and other types of music element songs on More Music From Coyote Ugly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Alice In Wonderland Soundtrack From The First FilmJune 5, 2016

This review is from: Almost Alice (Audio CD)
I must make it clear that I purchased Almost Alice on May 10th well before the scandal between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard broke out. I also prefer to avoid taking sides on the issue because I do not know either one of the celebrities (Amber Heard, Johnny Depp)and regardless if Depp is innocent or guilty it is obvious even to me that Depp is probably going to need a professional on the same level of Judy Smith (inspiration for Shonda Rhimes television series) to handle his situation. Anyhow, I felt compelled to share this cd of Almost Alice because it does have a unique selection of songs by various artists/music groups from various music genres; Avril Lavigne from the dance/pop genre, The All-American rejects from the alternative rock/pop genre, Owl City from the electronic/dance genre, Shinedown from the alternative rock genre, Franz Ferdinand from the alternative rock genre, 3oh3, Neon Hitch, and more. There are also artists on this cd that have not yet been played on local radio where my husband and I have lived since 2010 but also feature on this collection but I discovered through other ways; Kerli, Tokio Hotel, etc. Due to the mix in this collection, Almost Alice is best for eclectic music listeners.

5.0 out of 5 stars Added Pleasant Memories BecauseMay 29, 2016
This review is from: I Swear (MP3 Music)
Around 16 days ago,I admit that I felt an indescribable joy wash over me when my husband started spontaneously singing parts of the I Swear by All-4-One to me when we were relaxing together. My husband singing this song out of the blue was special to me because he has actually been there for me through both the good and challenging times for me (since we met in August 2002 and our marriage on January 22, 2004), especially with a career change that was unexpectedly forced on me over five and a half months ago. However, much to my relief our marriage has only grown stronger and closer since then and I found it heartwarming that my husband decided to sing I Swear to me out of the blue to me first thing that morning (16 days ago). Additionally, I first heard I Swear by All-4-One during my teenage years via local radio and it had been a while since I last heard it. Anyhow, I Swear by All-4-One is a beautiful pop song about loving someone and being there for someone throughout both good fortune and tribulations in life (with the lyrics till death do us part). Obviously,I’m glad that this song is available to listen to online (as well as the video of I Swear by All-4-One).

5.0 out of 5 stars Therapeutic Indie Rock SongMay 29, 2016
This review is from: Spirits (MP3 Music)
Fortunately, this indie rock song of Spirits by the Strumbellas is a superb tune that I recently caught via local radio. From what I read online this uplifting tune appears to be about a person who is striving to be the best that they can in life even through any mistakes that are made. Yes, I understand that it is important to transform mistakes into vehicles for learning and great spiritual, personal, and professional growth. However, one of the reasons that I enjoy Spirits by the Strumbellas is that for me, it touches on the reality of a person who is trying the best that they can in life regardless of how others view them (which for me Spirits by the Strumbellas can be healing both if you are obviously a popular person socially and/or professionally or even if you are an outcast professionally and/or personally speaking).

5.0 out of 5 stars One Republic At WorkMay 29, 2016
This review is from: Wherever I Go (MP3 Music)
Wherever I Go by One Republic appears to be a bubbly tune about thinking of someone no matter where you go. The online music video to Wherever I Go by One Republic brings alive this amusing song with an entertaining video of some office workers dancing at their place of employment. This pop dance song is perfect if you have ever head and/or enjoyed some of One Republic’s other songs (Counting Stars, Love Runs Out, Secrets etc.).

5.0 out of 5 stars A Fulfilling Love Song by Jason MrazMay 29, 2016
This review is from: I Won't Give Up (MP3 Music)
The song I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz is a warm-hearted soft rock/adult contemporary tune that appears to be about pledging to be there for someone regardless of what happens externally. I enjoy the positive message of being there for someone through both the harvest of life and even through the more complicated times.

This club and trance tune of Summer Dream (Radio Edit) by Mike Candys & Evelyn appears to be a radiant summer love song about simply spending time with someone who matters a lot in a person’s life. I also like the lyrics you and I flying high because this song gives me the feeling of a love song that epitomizes both happiness and enjoying the fruits/positive benefits of life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dazzling Rock Pop SongMay 29, 2016
This review is from: So Alive (MP3 Music)
For Whatever Reason, So Alive by Love And Rockets came into my awareness again when I unintentionally heard them at a Walgreens store near my apartment when my husband was getting us some things. I had thought about this song out of the blue less than 14 days prior and it is a song that I have rarely heard on local radio where I currently live or online. I remember this rock/pop song fondly because I first heard it via local radio growing up and I enjoyed the message of a mystery person captivating someone’s attention and making them feel very much on top of the world metaphorically speaking with lyrics such as the feel I’m on top again baby that’s got everything to do with you.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sublime Chillout Love SongMay 29, 2016
This review is from: So High (MP3 Music)
I admit that I frequently discover multiple new songs from Amazon Prime, Pandora, iheartradio, and other online sources. This song So High by Ghost Loft is no different and I heard it for the first time this year via the chillwave radio station of Pandora. The best way that I describe So High by Ghost Loft is a chillout type of love song because the singer creates a music imagery of being with someone in their life who loves them through both the highs and lows of life (with the lyrics you help me up when I’m down). The background music to this song is very relaxing and evokes a serene vibe.

5.0 out of 5 stars Memorable 90’s Rock SongMay 29, 2016
This review is from: Popular (MP3 Music)
I remember first hearing Popular by Nada Surf as a teenager of the 1990’s. This song seems to pretty much be a lighthearted way to poke fun at the dating life and habits of some of the teenagers remembered as the most popular kids in their high school. For me what gives this away is the dating advice in the song that I sense is just disguised as humor. I take Popular by Nada Surf as more of a song to not take too seriously and enjoy it for the musical comedy.
